What Is Fascism?

I finally finished the fascism video. I dramatically underestimated how much work I'd end up putting into the research and production of it. This kind of undertaking won't be sustainable going forward, so I'm going to have to do less ambitious videos for a while to grow the channel out. But let me know what you guys think/how you like it.

Thanks again for your support and patience.

I loved it. I've seen some good presentations that define fascism a little more broadly, but you make a strong case. It's probably better to err on the conservative side so as to avoid using misleading rhetoric. If you ever take a notion, I would love to see you treat authoritarianism more generally, and how liberal democracies and republics are susceptible to it. It seems that's the menace we're having a brush with these days. At least there was a remnant of gatekeepers in the GOP who held against the onslaught, but now that the authoritarians have seen what is possible, I suspect they will be strategizing, purging, and stacking the deck so the bulwarks will be weaker next time. I miss the traditional GOP.

Hey Mark, thank you! I posted a crash course to political thought/philosophy to my Twitter: 1) On Politics - A Ryan 2) A History Of Western Philosophy - B Russell 3) Open Society & Its Enemies - K Popper 4) On Liberty - J.S. Mill 5) Economic & Philosophical Manuscripts - K Marx But I'm not aware of an authoritative book that just goes down the line concisely knocking out the various 'isms.' So that's basically what my channel is largely trying to provide.

I love the deep research and proper references in this video. It brought me to your channel. Have you thought to post a reading list, perhaps a list of the most essential pieces that provide a broad brush introduction to the various philosophies and -isms?
