Very much giving Mack more backstory/filling in his past remember in S4 ep7 when Ghost Rider talks to Robbie while he has possession of Macks body he says he can hold onto Mack because he lost Hope. Plus at the end of that episode before Robbie returns through the tech portal Mack is sitting near it looking at a picture of Hope. The scene with Yo-Yo is continuing the thread that Mack had a daughter who died as a baby.
