i just don’t feel anything for any of the characters

i've been really enjoying what i've seen so far and waiting to see how it plays out, but with j looking mad and raven falling asleep i'm watching this watchalong questioning if i'm just super basic and like everything LOL. your critiques all make sense tho. interesting to see this other perspective.

I feel like this show had the framework to be incredible.. but 6 episodes definately feels WAY too few to tell this story. Why does WandaVision have 9 episodes but we only get 6 for this, Loki and FATWS.. all of which seem way more important to the future of the MCU than WV. I enjoy this show for what it is, but it couldve been so much more.

Ok. My wife and daughter like this show. They keep wanting to see Steven. And that says it all for me. The pacing is bad. The location creation and art department is terrible. I don’t really care about anyone. I’m not particularly excited by the story. I have no clue how this fits in the MCU. But yeah. Steven’s pretty funny. I haven’t said any of this to them cause I don’t want to ruin their fun but this series is going the way of the Lakers.

Idk what comics raven reading but In the comics there’s 3 personalities, Marc Spector, Steven grant, and Jake lockley. In the beginning of the third episode where he was killing those guys and Marc said Steven what did you do and Steven said that wasn’t me I believe that was Jake.

I feel like this show doesn't know what it wants to be, tries to be deadpool and batman inspired, psychological drama/comedy . Whenever it goes down one route completely it just feels shocking and out of place. If the personalities were working more in eachother's best interest the episodes would probably feel more cohesive and the action less jarring - I imagine this happens eventually, hopefully not in the final episode though.

Yeah Steven saying "you've come to the wrong ends, this is my yard", "wagwan" had me cringing. It just feels a lil' forced i guess - though he randomly decided to become Deadpool once he put on the suit for some reason so I guess he's trying to be quirky.

Also for the review, Steven using the London slang actually makes sense for his character. He definitely isn't the type to use it or hear it in everyday conversation when he lives in central and works at a museum, so his incorrect usage works here.

Like that they actually shot the 3rd episode in Egypt & seeing Marc & Steven reversed was cool to me & betting Marc killed her dad in Egypt . & the Gods should do more research not just taking Arthur’s word on it

Joe, the director for Ep 3 is Egyptian and he says that it was almost entirely filmed in Egypt because he doesn't like how Egypt is misrepresented so much in western media.
