yes but he so judegemental and unfair to everybody especially clarke and puts his misery on other people. The whole of season 4 (&3) he has been extremely annoying and useless to the people that actually do want to live on, he even gets in the way at times

I mean, we have tons of people suffering from depression today, so imagine in a society where there's constant mass casualties, mandatory work orders, strict rations on everything. Then you're just told it's ALL going to be worse because you have to live in a secluded bunker for years.
