Choice A: Leave and find someplace to glut outside the castle.

Fear of being discovered clutched at Celestia’s chest. She immediately rushed out the back door, running a safe enough distance down the dark hall and hiding in an empty room. She rubbed her hoof to her bloated stomach, never having felt the discomfort of her indigested gorge being violently tossed around as she ran.

She found sanctuary within her fitting room, where her royal designers sewed her dress for the next galla. Looking through a rack of dresses, she wryly smiled. With her new curiosity toward gluttony, none of them would be able to fit her before long. She imagined Twilight hadn’t been able to fit into any type of clothing for some time now, even with having a friend who enjoyed designing them. With Twilight’s thick bulging curves and her need to gorge herself to the peak of fullness, she’d likely tear through any clothing she’d wear anyway.

Suddenly, the princess jumped with fright, startled by her burbling belly still demanding sustenance. Her cheeks flushed a bright red, surprised by her stomach’s eagerness to glut even more. Finding a simple cloak among the rack, she threw it on, concealing her flowing mane and tail. Outside the room, the halls remained dark, with no guards patrolling this part of the castle. Gathering her courage, she left the room, made her way to a secret castle entrance only she and Luna knew, and slipped out into the night.

She racked her mind thinking of what establishment was still open during such a late night, with only one coming to mind. Donut Joe’s was open twenty four hours a day; she couldn’t imagine anypony coming down for donuts so late at night, but she was grateful all the same.

Entering the shop, she was relieved that it wasn’t Joe at the front counter, but his cousin Moe, who ran the night shift.

“Evening,” said Moe, “how could I help you?”

Celestia tried keeping her head down to avoid being recognized. Her stomach gurgled at all the freshly baked donuts on display, from chocolates, to custards and ones covered in sprinkles. “I’ll take a dozen, please. Three of the glaze, two chocolates, three of those eclairs and are these jelly filled?”

“They sure are. Best jelly imported straight from Manehattan.”

“Excellent, give me four of those.”

The earth pony put each of her selections into a pink box and ringed up the cash register. “That’ll be five bits, please.”

Taken aback by his request, the princess held her head downcast. In her rush to leave the castle, she had forgotten her coin purse in her room. Years of having her own personal cooks and bakers left her hardly ever having to physically pay for things, leaving most of her expenses to the royal treasurer.

“I-I’m so sorry,” said Celestia, “I’ve accidentally left my purse back at the…house.”

“No worries, princess. I know you’re good for it.”

At once, Celestia’s composure broke like shattered glass. “Y-you knew it was me?”

“Oh, er-was I not supposed to know? I thought you were just trying not to catch cold wearing that.”

Cover broken, she tossed off her hood and held her hooves together, wearing a pleading smile. “Please don’t tell anypony else I came here this late. I’d be so embarrassed.”

“S-sure thing, princess,” Moe crossed his heart, “your secret’s safe with me. Enjoy your order, and let me know if you need anything else.”

They exchanged smiles before Celestia accepted the box of donuts and sat at a booth near the window. Licking her lips, she resumed her late night snackage. Her fervent excitement in the castle kitchens picked up from where it left off, making each donut she shoved in her mouth twice as delectable, knowing she was eating more than she really needed. She heavily murmured with glee, tasting both jelly and vanilla custard gushing in her mouth upon taking her first bites.

She enjoyed them so much, she ate through her box faster than she thought she was capable of. Back to the counter, she ordered three more boxes; her piqued desire to overeat trumped any sense of shame she would normally have asking for more food. Moe happily obliged, handing a large complimentary cup of hot cocoa covered in marshmallows and whipped cream. Her eyes glistened at its delectable presentation; doubtless, she wouldn’t be returning to the castle having only drank a single cup.

Back at her table, Celestia’s gluttony picked up in pace, compelling her to stuff each donut in her mouth whole. She ate them one at a time, barely chewing before swallowing a wad of bread and sugar down her gullet. Mixing in her chocolatey drink, its comforting taste caused her to practically melt in her seat. Excessively eating and drinking all these sugary desserts felt so intoxicating, her only regret was that she didn’t experience it sooner in life.

With each box of donuts and cup of hot chocolate Celestia finished, she called to Moe to bring her another. The earth pony humbly obliged, honored by her patronage, but surprised at  how quickly she put it all away. Ten boxes and eight drinks in, she’d stuff donuts in her mouth till her cheeks were filled, use the hot cocoa to soften it up, and strain to gulp down the cantaloupe sized glob that slithered down her throat. The alicorn heaved a sigh of relief once it passed, oblivious to her belly pressing deep into the table, before doing it all over again.

“*Bworp*, oh…goodness,” Celestia leaned back in her seat, her swollen belly resting atop of the table as she rubbed it, “what an exquisite midnight carousal. *Mmm*, I’ve never felt so stuffed.”

Looking downward, she blushed at the size of her gut. Her once slender physique had now bloated into a squishy gurgling orb all in one night. It blorped as she squeezed at it with a hoof, feeling the cake and donuts churn in a bath of cocoa, all bubbling inside her. Twilight’s assessment was correct, Celestia had fallen in love with overeating, and the tantalizing results that came with it. Although she felt well beyond stuffed, she wouldn’t reach Twilight’s enormity without eating for the sake of eating.

“Moe,” called Celestia, “another, *orp*, dozen, please.”

“Hehe, eh, sorry princess,” said Moe, scratching behind his head as he stood beside her table. “I’m afraid you ate the whole batch tonight, and we’re out of cocoa. Heh, you sure like our donuts.”

“Oh, forgive me. I couldn’t help myself.”

Tapping a hoof to her chin, Celestia could have sworn she saw a menu posted above the counter as she walked in. She barely took any notice due to being focused on the donuts themselves. Since Moe was right next to her, she could simply ask him. Though the idea made her quiver with anticipation, the ensuing gorge would make the trip back to the castle a highly exhausting one. If she were to return to the castle right now, she’d have an easier time getting back; and who knows, perhaps she’ll find something closer to snack on along the way?
