This gold coin is engraved with a monstrous face on either side; one face displays glee and the other face displays anguish. The coin’s faces and edges are smooth and well-worn. By flipping the coin, you duplicate the effects of the augury spell. Glee shows good results and anguish shows bad results. For both good and bad results, the coin will land flat before flipping itself over onto its other side after 3 seconds. For results that aren’t especially bad or good, the coin lands on its edge. If you flip this coin two or more times before each dawn, there is a cumulative 25 percent chance for each flip after the first that one of your teeth falls out. If you have no teeth, the coin is destroyed.
