Switch Giveaway Revealed! + Shantae Giveaway Winners Announced!

Hey there, Nintendo Force fans, and Happy New Year! Let's kick off 2017 with a bang, shall we? 

How about a free Nintendo Switch?

It's the giveaway contest we've been building toward ever since we launched this Patreon page a year ago! Yes indeed, Nintendo Force fans – one of you loyal patrons will be getting an all-new Nintendo Switch, totally free, just for being our patron. As soon as pre-orders go live, we're putting money down on a Switch for one of you. And when we do the prize drawing, we'll know which mailing address to send it to in March!

I'm sure all of you are incredibly hyped for the big Nintendo Switch Presentation event that's coming up in just a few days on January 12, and we want to let you know that we're going to do everything we can to fan those flames of excitement into a raging inferno! 

Issue #26 of NF Magazine will be "The Nintendo Switch Launch Guide" and will cover every aspect of the new hardware launch, while also turning back the clock to look at how Nintendo handled the debuts of all their past systems as well. Here's hoping they knock it out of the park this time, giving us the biggest and best new generation launch we've ever seen!

And, again, one of you will be having a very happy Switch debut day in March, seeing as how you'll be scoring your Switch for $0.00. Good luck to you all!

The promised tier price reduction is in the works, as we've maintained our support north of $12K now and we're in safe territory to move forward with it. I've contacted Patreon support to make sure there won't be any problems with adjusting things down by a few pennies before I pull the trigger on it, though, as they've changed how tiers are handled behind the scenes since we first launched this page a year ago and I don't want to do anything that would cause you all to get dropped off the roster or anything. 

One shift they've made that threatens that for 14 of you is that Patreon creators are no longer allowed to set a pledge tier lower than $1.00 – so if I do adjust prices on the other tiers, I'll  have to actually increase our $0.99 Show of Support tier by one penny. Like I said, that would only affect the 14 of you that are pledged at that lowest level, but still. I'll keep you all in the loop and get it worked out as soon as possible.
