Our latest issue is on its way to subscribers!
I've been looking forward to making this particular issue all year long – ever since Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon were announced way back on February 27, the series' 20th anniversary date. And now they're just a few weeks away! So we've gone all-out with the production of this edition.
Seriously, this is the most complex and coolest issue we've done to date. The flippable double cover is going to be especially awesome in your hands, as each version is inverted relative to the other. (The "Version Inversion," you see.) You'll get half of the content when you start flipping pages from the Sun side, but you'll have to physically flip over the issue to read the Moon side rightside up. It's Sun, it's Moon. It's gravity! It's cool.
The double-sided wall poster this time includes the aerial-view map of the Alola Region on one side, and then a personal passion project I've been wanting to make for years on the other: a big, bold, easy-to-see Battle Chart to keep track of all the Pokémon series' different type interactions. Water beats Fire, Fire beats Grass – those are the easy ones that anyone can remember. But did you know Rock is Super Effective vs. Ice? Or can you name all of the types' resistances to other types? There are seriously 324 different interactions that can happen just from single attack types hitting single-typed opponents. We're helping you (and me) keep track of all the possibilities.
Finally, the "Aloha from Alola" postcard! It's just pure fun. I imagine most of you will keep yours as a keepsake, but let me know if you do decide to mail it to a friend – and take pictures of it with your message written on it and postage applied, before you drop it in the mail! It'd be cool to include such a photo in our next issue.
Now, the release schedule:
Digital subscribers will get to read Issue #24 starting on Monday, October 24th. You'll actually get two half-size issues this time around – the Sun side and the Moon side separated – because you probably don't want the back half of your issue to appear upside down on your monitor or tablet.
Magzter links will follow a few days later, and again it'll be two different links this time for the Sun half and the Moon half of the magazine.
Physical copies will roll into most print subscribers' mailboxes in the early days of November, giving you just the right amount of time to get your Sun & Moon hype kicked into high gear and the wall poster firmly affixed to your wall of choice before the games themselves become publicly available on November 18.
Also in early November, we'll announce the winners for our October Pokémon 20th Anniversary Giveaway, which a ton of you entered! Thanks for getting the word out about NF on Twitter and Facebook. Can you do me a further favor? When you get your copy of Issue #24 delivered, can you take pictures of it and share those on social media as well? Maybe even a Vine video of the flipping feature in action? It's always a big help and a major encouragement to me to see subscribers enjoying their issues!
A new November Giveaway will be announced soon, too! Make sure your Patreon account stays in good standing, so that you'll continue to be automatically entered in future giveaways. (The November Giveaway will be one where you won't have to do any retweeting or anything like that – just keeping your status as a Patreon backer current will be enough to qualify.)
Thanks again, Force fans! This issue has been a blast to create, and I hope you all love it!

P.S. Yes, I have sacrificed my sleep for the past couple of nights to make sure coverage of the Nintendo Switch made the cut for this issue. A fun new era lies ahead!
