Deadly Gangs of Houston: J Prince, Sauce Walka and Texas Prisons [UNCUT]

NOTICE: Video was temporarily removed due to a copyright claim. Despite being covered under fair use we have removed the segment in question as it does not affect the narrative of this piece.

Today's video is a shorter and more broad deep dive into a city who's street culture has influenced hip hop massively. Houston Texas is one of the most culturally rich cities when it comes to hip hop and it's music. This video will dive deep into the most infamous figures in the rap game in Houston as well as it's murky underworld that connects to the streets and criminal groups that control them. Beyond the streets we will deep dive into the gangs that control the prison system behind the walls as well as the drug culture of Houston, the city that made lean world famous. Let me know what you think of this video. It's a more digestible approach to my usual gang deep dives. We're experimenting with different formats at the moment and hoping that this is something you will find interesting. Feedback always appreciated and lot's more content coming on a variety of different topics. Stay tuned.

People said drip and sauce waaaaaaayyyyyy before Sauce Walka smfh go check Mac Dre albums from the EARLY 90’s those terms are all over those albums. People’s egos have them losing their grip on reality.

How you leave out the “Houston(e)s” on a Houston gang doc?

This was good, but very rushed. There’s so many nuances to it that you can easily do a 4/5 hr video on Houston. Hell Rap-A-Lot and the Prince family can be a video that long all by themselves! Living here since I was 6 (I’m in my 40s now so it’s definitely home but I will always be a Chicago girl at heart), I saw all this happening in person so it was a trip down memory lane. Don’t let this be all you cover on us down here as the Capital of the Third Coast. And random fact, I remember going to South Park and waiting for DJ Screw to “open” and sell his mixtapes from the front door to his house. I still have 23 original Screw Tapes that are in the same safe as my important documents, cash and a few other treasured items. I’ve had people offering thousands for them but I refuse to sell them. They play like new because I was getting them at least every other week and I had so many I would give them away after Iistening to them. It wasn’t a big deal when you get 3 or 4 a month. I wish I had them all now though. I probably could’ve had them all , that’s how many I’ve had over the years.

J Prince is a true gangster. That man plays chess while they play checkers. He is the one to fear.

Lifelong Houstonian here. Appreciate the love. We've got great rappers out here showing up and showing love in our city. Bun, Trae, Paul Wall, Lil Keke are all cool dude I've met over the years. Scarface was an occasional guest at my bar on the Southwest side in the early 2000's and I ran into Bushwick out there a few times too. Even worked my way into a music video by ESG from SUC and he's a real one too. I pray that Sauce sees the way from these old heads and gets away from this gunplay. We've got men like Bun B and Scarface working hard for positive change. I'd love for Sauce to end up a success story like them when it's all said and done. RIP DJ Screw RIP Big Moe RIP Pimp C
