I recently visited California to work on a series of shoots on the rap and gang culture out there. In this video I linked up with the Insane Crips from Long Beach. We toured the entire area and I met people from all generations who told me about their history, the streets, the culture and everything that goes down in Long Beach. This is a different style of content from me. Im trying to grow as a journalist and spend more time speaking to real people on the ground. Let me know what you think of the content and any ways I can improve going forward. I have another on location video like this as well as some interviews coming. Eventually there will be 1 big documentary with all my LA content in 1 video. Stay tuned for that and thanks again for your ongoing support!

Systemic racism is not a concept itโs a reality that many innocent black ppl suffer from because not everyone is a criminal but they get treated like criminals regardless. There are plenty of criminals that are white that never have and will never have to endure what black ppl have been through. This country was founded by criminals. You sound like you might be part of the problem I bet you donโt even know any black ppl personally and probably get nervous if ever there are any within close proximity of you. Anyway I just wanted to say I really wish you would push back on these guys when they complain that they are unfairly targeted by police. Or when they begin their diatribe about how every social construct and institution is built to spite them for their skin color. The reality is it has zero to do with their color and everything to do with their actions. They are the only reason they are targeted by police, no one else. Itโs the victim mentality that allows them to throw the responsibility of their actions/ gang banging on everyone else. They will literally complain about the cops โharassingโ them and then follow up by claiming their set and bragging how active they are. I know youโre not from the states, but here in reality today the concept of โsystemic racismโ is simply a convenient excuse to never exercise personal responsibility for a lot of people. There are many programs and assistance methods built into the government now specifically for black people to get govt assistance, get into college, groceries, child care, schooling etc all on the basis of their skin color. It may have been a thing in the past, but today it is a non-factor. I am aware that the mainstream media will tell you otherwise, this is because they are in the business of gaslighting and upsetting people to get more views and money. In reality, These guys should be targeted, as they are the ones committing crimes and ruining the environment around them. They brag about the violence and evil they commit in their music and on vlogs like these. Please donโt go the route of exploiting the situation as to glorify these guys bc they are not role models and shouldnโt be for anyone. The real gangster move would be to take accountability and provide for your family within the rules provided by the country. Not shortcuts and violence and traumatizing others to get ahead in life.
