Social media, youtube, Patreon etc - so much is wrong about what it is used for. And yes, I feel like i am part of the problem by being interested enough to watch. But the interest is waning as I realise it's not just a story - it's a way of life that will repeat, over and over. However there is a plus - what TLR does is a form of writing history that may otherwise not be written. A video history of this culture, this demographic, the outcomes of poverty and the decline of America. It's a study of the long path of the American experiment: democracy, freedom and love of mammon run wild.

Even if it's simply about the weather lol. I and others would not know the history of each individual artist he reports had it not been for TLR doing a video about them. Are historians also apart of whatever problems happened in history? I think not. You could say but he makes money off of it but so do professors at a college or even motivational speakers, reporters, and interviewers/podcasters. These are really essentially history lessons/courses. I think TLR does a good job at not glorifying any of this. I'm also sure that reporting this stuff probably does take a toll on him mentally as you can see he is very passionate about what he does and the parties/peoples involved. I would bet he has encountered a few sleepless nights because of the history he is attempting to report on is so shocking and perplexing it leaves his consciousness obstructed or hindered because of his emotional attachment to the stories he researches . In some ways he is honoring there legacy's by making their biographies known and paying respects to them. By sharing their ups and downs, their trials and tribulations, their good days and bad days, their rights and their wrongs. All of which he never seems to judge, poke fun, taunt, or disrespect anyone in anyway. (accept for Travis Scott and the "Astroworld" incident but one could argue that was well deserved) TLR is an artist in his own right, stitching together pieces of stories in history to form a well presented documentary/image of those he's reporting on. The amount of work required for these videos must be astronomical because of mainly the research alone not to mention the video editing. And having to decipher and filter the researched content into credible material for a video so that it is a story that is as accurate and truthful as possible must be a chore in itself. You know, as someone (TLR) who does not live in the US and for him to see and perfectly understand the hip hop/rap and gang culture to a tee just goes to show how poorly we are all doing at trying to reverse the mainstream image that being a gangster or taking a life is a cool thing to do. If anyone is to blame it would be the people at the top level of business who has something to gain from an artist by glorifying and promoting that type of content, wanting to see them or encouraging them to stir up the pot with people because it sells. There are alot of ex/felony offenders out there that go to places to educate kids and adults on their mistakes and tell them what not to do and how to change as an attempt to stop the violence and inspire change in others life's. TLR is no different and i'm sure that it is his highest priority to hopefully be the seed that sparks the mind to truly galvanize and incite others to make a difference in their communities by invoking a new sense of what is cool and that life is to short to be killing each other. TLR also seems to report the good that people do as well and unfortunately the bad but not because it just sells but because the hip hop/rap culture is plagued with drama and beefs and very very few of them seem to not be trying to resolve their issues like adults causing them to become a news story or headline for some reason because of retaliatory actions that usually ends with an artist hurt or killed. Trap Lore Ross, I commend you on your impeccable track record and the exquisite, unbiased, alluring, awe inspiring, enlightening, well crafted videos you produce at a captivating rate. That picture shown at 12:13 is inaccurate because everything west of the river shown is a separate area, Southwest. Geographically and culturally it’s an entire different world from South. In South, Black gangs, while highlighted are not the only players, you have White gangs (go to Oregon Steaks late night and you’ll see Irish and Italian kids with face tats and shiestys, also a high profile police killing of a teenage white gang member after he shot into their unmarked car a few years ago) and Asian Gangs (Cambodians, Viet & Chinese) that have strongholds in their neighborhoods. Southwest is almost exclusively Black and African neighborhoods. Also there is active beef between certain neighborhoods in each section. Philadelphians are fiercely independent and proud of their respective sections, and will correct you immediately about where they’re from.

These lowlifes should be thrown in a prison like the one they have in El Salvador and never see the light of day again.
