I think we need to create a new term for this kind of murder because it’s becoming a dangerous trend, unfortunately. It used to be you would walk up, pop an enemy and you’re homies would be around the corner in a car to swoop you up and that was it. Everybody kept their mouths shut. This social media generation of gang life now has taken catching a body to a disturbing level. Now they killing anywhere, inside a store or outdoors in a upper class shopping centers. Then after the murder they’re all on Instagram or Facebook live laughing and bragging about the shit or on YouTube making a music video describing the hit saying they smoking on whoever they laid out. They self snitch even though it’s stupid as fuck and risky as fuck just to gain the clout on social media. Clout equals more followers that are streaming their video and that gets them paid and all that recognition gets them fame. The whole gangbang culture has shifted. Now they utilize social media because gang culture and the violence that comes with it has always been interesting to middle class white kids. So now they getting paid both from gang business and internet fame. I’m not sure if someone thought that shit up or if it just happened because of the abundance of social media, but you gotta admit, that’s some psychopathic genius shit if it was planned out. I put my money on gang banging just integrating into social media naturally just like everything else in life has. Point being, I think serial killer isn’t the right terminology here. I would call it “Clout Killing” or “Fame Killing”… I prefer the term Clout Killing myself. You’re very good at putting together documentaries. There insightful and help people living on the other side of the tracks gain a small understanding of what life is like for Black and Latino Americans who inhabit these communities and how they survive and endure living under oppressed conditions with intentionally suppressed resources inside these neighborhoods.
