The "Xinzhi Mi" Group's building was still brightly lit. Its outer wall bore a large sign reading "Xinzhi Mi" below which was a flower-shaped logo, illuminated by dazzling neon lights.

Ever since the news broke that Jiang Weixin's "Weixin Group" was involved in commercial fraud, unfair competition, and misappropriation of investor funds, all of the group's businesses had taken a sharp nosedive. Its overseas-listed stock had plummeted, investors had swarmed the "Weixin Group" building, and Jiang Weixin himself had been arrested and imprisoned on multiple commercial charges, implicating a wide range of people. With the "Weixin Group" left leaderless, the remaining personnel were unwilling to take responsibility, distancing themselves from Jiang Weixin and pinning all the blame on him alone.

The "Xinzhi Mi" Group, however, seized the opportunity to acquire a large number of shares in the "Weixin Group." The two parties had previously cooperated in many fields, and this time, they took the chance to swallow up many of its business segments. More recently, even more sensational news had emerged: Yao Shuanglei, the big boss and chairman of the Yao Group, had been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment due to a sudden heart attack. Banks always fawned on the powerful and loved to add flowers to a brocade; they were urgently calling in loans to the "Weixin Group" while acting as brokers for the mergers, bustling with activity.
