Buying a Security Camera? Letโ€™s Make It Easy - ft. the Reolink Trackflex Wifi!

Well I've been working like mad on all sorts of camera projects over Christmas - a lot based on your recommendations!

Firstly - all of you that recommended Reolink originally to me - THANK YOU, they've always been great, but I DREAD to think how hard it would have been to do some of the more advanced things I'm now building, it's a dream!

Secondly - all of you that recommended Frigate - thank you! It too is awesome, I'm only scratching the surface at the moment of my end vision, but it's amazingly powerful!

And thirdly - Home Assistant.... it just rulez!

I've already shown you a few glimpses of how Reolink + Frigate + Home Assistant = Awesome - but I think I'm going to do a whole video about it to really show it off and give some quick start guides and tips for people to pinch!!

Ooh and Reolink messaged over Christmas to say there's a 2026 discount for my viewers - so if you are planning any cameras - MAKE SURE you use: 5% Coupon Code: Katie5 !!
.... then you can buy yourself another treat with the savings...... ;)

Definitely sounds like an upgrade from my Reolink nvr. I use a lot of Reolink - Home Assistant automations as is. This sounds next level. Keep up the good work!

I've been looking for a new doorbell camera and at this point I'm happy to jump to a new system for cameras, but what I need from a doorbell camera is to be able to see the floor directly below it, my current (Toucan) is a true 180 degree view, vertical as well as horizontal, I just tried Tapo (as my other cameras and smart sockets are all tapo) and the 160 degree view was only in the horizontal, landscape format capture couldn't get near the floor by my door. The view on the reolink doorbell looks promising but I wanted to ask about that as I remember you used one a few months ago, will it see a parcel left right by my door?

Exactly the same, Frigate just fits perfectly with HA and Reolink - AI number plate detection, facial recognition and all the rest is awesome to see popping up in HA. So you can say when MY car gets home do X, but when delivery van arrives (just log the usual number plates of your postal vans). It's great fun!

Glad you enjoyed TB!! Oh I too went through the circus - I tried Arlo, then another brand before seeing the light!!

Loved the video - fun and really informative . I have had Anker cameras and clearly need to switch ip up - now I know what to get and what I have been missing

Reolink + Home Assistant = awesome. I haven't integrated Frigate. I would like love to see some ideas on this.
