Weekly Update (12/8/2017) -- December Patron Stream & More
Added 2017-12-08 20:50:09 +0000 UTCHello there my friends, and a wonderful weekend to you.
Please offer your usual warm welcome to our newest Patron:
- Maxim Belousov
Before I get into this week's development update, I'd like to officially announce this month's Private Patron Stream, which will take place on December 22 at 11:00 AM PST.
I will continue to announce this date/time on the subreddit and elsewhere as the stream approaches.
My plan is to stream some playtesting of Ultimate Skyrim 4.0, which marks the first time a post-3.4 version will be watchable on the channel. As you can imagine, this is a very exciting prospect for me. ;)
I'll be streaming quite a while, so hopefully everyone can attend. Once the event concludes, I'll make the stream public so non-Patrons can watch!
Now, onto this week's actual update!
- I spent most of this week continuing work on the Big Crafting Overhaul. Ensuring consistent crafting mechanics requires me to evaluate every single crafting recipe in the game, so it's a pretty time-consuming task. :)
- Proprietary food items from other mods like Requiem and ETaC have been brought in line with last week's Food Overhaul. For example, ETaC includes its own Flour/Sugar/etc. for recipes, which becomes very confusing alongside Hearthfire's Flour/Sugar/etc. To fix this, all instances of duplicate ingredients have been edited for consistency.
- Mage Coat spells are now properly boosted by Requiem's Mage Armor perks, as intended. There is no longer any need to cast both Mage Armor and Mage Coat spells for warmth.
- Improved Fish has been officially removed from the installation. Its fish variety was nice in theory, but incorporating the new fish into recipes became an exercise in futility. (This will also remove the need for the USLEEP-edited version of IF's plugin, currently provided by Ultimate Skyrim.)
- Campfire's crafting recipes have been moved to the player's Craft Item ability for consistency, and to avoid player confusion.
- Fixed several small bugs, including improper keywording on several armor sets (including Ulfric's Stormlord Armor), players freezing while riding carriages, etc.
And that concludes this week's update. Mad thanks for reading as always, and I'll be back next week with more gooey goodness.

P.S. If you guys enjoy Ultimate Skyrim, I strongly recommend Stardew Valley. I've been playing it a lot lately, and it's probably my Game of the Year for 2017!
