Weekly Update -- 11/3/2017
Added 2017-11-03 20:27:33 +0000 UTCHello there my loves. Another weekly update for your eye holes!
As always, please give a warm welcome to our newest Patrons:
- Connor Barrett
- Furfante
This week's update is dedicated to my grandfather, who unfortunately passed away yesterday. His name was Jerry, and he was a wonderful husband and grandfather whom I loved very much. He went peacefully in his sleep, which was a mercy I did not expect -- and for which I will always be grateful. That's how he wanted to go, and that's how he went -- a testament to his stubborn old man ways, I suppose.
I also think he'd find a Patreon eulogy very entertaining, and it's the least I can do for him, after all he'd done for me throughout his life.
If you will, a moment of internet silence for my Grandpa, who always believed in my crackpot dreams, and who taught me to follow my heart. I will carry him with me always.
Also, the stream I cancelled this week will now take place on Wednesday, November 8th at 4:00pm PST. I'll post about it next week with all the relevant details.
Thank you for indulging me, and now onto the update!
- First, Snowfall Weathers has been fully integrated into Ultimate Skyrim, along with a massive Interior Lighting Overhaul created specifically for Ultimate Skyrim/Snowfall by our own SrGatonegro. With this overhaul, you can expect cozy town interiors and the dark dungeons you know and love, without the need for any additional lighting mods. This also means ELFX is officially de-integrated from the installation, which should result in performance improvements for users across the board.
The overhaul works alongside our ENB tweaks to create the finest visuals I've ever seen in Skyrim, perfectly suited for the atmosphere Ultimate Skyrim intends. The performance is comparable to NLVA's ENB, so if you can run that, you will be able to run this modified version of Snowfall. - I've added All Thieves Guild Jobs Concurrently, which will allow aspiring thieves to accept up to seven radiant jobs at once (one of each type). I believe this vastly improves the Thieves Guild experience, since you no longer have to return to Riften after each completed job -- a system clearly designed for fast travel users. It's also very fun to see where your jobs will take you, and plot your course accordingly!
- To accommodate Snowfall's gorgeous new weathers, I've added the ENB Water Textures from Realistic Water Two. These textures greatly improve water fidelity at very little performance cost (though the mod is still optional, just in case).
- I've added Real Roads for Skyrim, which adds some much-needed depth to Skyrim's flat road textures. This is another visual improvement with negligible performance impact, though it is also optional.
- Adding mods is always awesome, but sometimes removing mods is even more important for a streamlined and performance-friendly experience. This week was especially "remove-heavy", so I wanted to lay out every mod that's been removed during 4.0's development so far:
- Climates of Tamriel (you've served us well)
- Death Alternative, and its addons
- Enhanced Lights and FX (farewell my old friend)
- Get Snowy (made redundant by Snowfall / Wet & Cold)
- Real Shelter
- RealVision ENB (superseded by Snowfall)
- Remove Big Blurry Snowflakes (redundant with new weathers)
- Spectacular Night Eye (redundant with Predator Vision, soon to be added)
- Vivid Landscapes ELFX Patch (no longer required without ELFX)
That wraps things up for this week! There's lots more to do, so I'll get back to it.
Thanks for all your support as always, and I'll see you next week!

Sweet. Glad to hear that. “Hunting in Skyrim” is an awesome addition. It’s nice to actually see the animals get skinned. That being said, it is a less invasive addition than hunterborn while still lending to the immersion that may be perfect for you if Hunterborn proves too conflicting with everything else. Perhaps a good place holder so if hunterborn becomes too labor intensive. The only things it adds don’t effect the main game much at all. Just some hunting traps and script to go with them. Oh and I had added hunterborn extended. Wish I had the knowledge to help with all the integration. Maybe one day I will. I have had a few CTDs. Maybe because I have tacked these things on to US. Not sure if it’s those things or maybe a hardware issue.

Hunterborn is actually my next integration task, since I'm working on a crafting "overhaul" of sorts and Hunterborn's content is sure to affect it. We'll see how it goes!\
