For season 5 please use ICRPG; Shadow of the Weird Wizard; Cypher System; Fantasy Age; or something else that is quick and intuitive. Next instead of the typical "resources" ask some youtubers to make random tables for you... that you will compile at the end of the season! Professor DM, Arcane Library, Rune Hammer, Seth Skorkowsky, Scotty DM, and Bob World Builder are all great at this!

And then beyond that, there's the ticking clock in the background of that portal closing. I imagine some things could come up which would make that final leg of the journey urgent and interesting.

If the dice had Vail be cynical and put the lich back to sleep, would that have ended the season? Her mission would have been successful and done. so I'm thinking yes.
