Coming up on April 16
Added 2022-04-13 08:00:04 +0000 UTCSo many things to worry about, where to even start? And in all fairness, quite often looking at the scientific literature just gives me more reason to worry. On Saturday I will talk about a topic where it turns out to be the other way round: After looking at the recent literature, I am actually less worried about it: Antibiotic resistance. Where does it come from, how bad is it, and what are scientists doing?

One of your best. So far lots of good news for mice but that's where all treatments start. Like you, I find the picture quite hopeful. My guess. One day you'll pop a blood sample into a machine and, after an hour or so, out pops a molecule or gen-engineered phage that attacks the pathogen. Say by 2050.

2022-04-16 11:28:45 +0000 UTCI did a lot of lap swimming and deep diving when I was young. I believe I eventually developed a hole in one my ear. The end result is moisture occasionally gets trapped in my sinuses. The only non-surgical way to resolve it is through antibiotics. I can do everything right without antibiotics, and will still have the infection a month later. I have not seen any decrease in efficacy and I been taking antibiotics for over a decade. .
