My new book is now available for pre-order
Added 2021-11-12 10:07:59 +0000 UTCIn the past years I have worked on a new book, which is now available for pre-order here. My editors decided on the title "Existential Physics: A Scientist's Guide to Life's Biggest Questions" which, I agree, is more descriptive than my original title "More Than This". My title was trying to express that physics is about more than just balls rolling down inclined planes and particles bumping into each other. It's a way to make sense of life.
In "Existential Physics" each chapter is the answer to a question. I have also integrated interviews with Tim Palmer, David Deutsch, Roger Penrose, and Zeeya Merali, so you don't only get to hear my opinion. I'll show you a table of contents when the page proofs are in.

2021-11-13 12:31:48 +0000 UTCIt's at the crossover of physics, philosophy, and religion one could say.
2021-11-13 10:18:26 +0000 UTCI'll post an update when I have news about the UK edition.
2021-11-13 10:17:43 +0000 UTCExistential physics: very interesting title. I only knew physics (science) and metaphysics (philosophy). Is this book making the bridge between these disciplines?
2021-11-12 23:36:22 +0000 UTCOoooh, can't wait to read this! I've made a note in my calendar to check back for UK availability so I can preorder!

2021-11-12 16:34:56 +0000 UTCI have a different publisher in the UK. They'll want to put up their own website etc but they haven't yet done that. Shouldn't take too long though because they do already have the manuscript.
2021-11-12 16:25:59 +0000 UTCI didn't read the audio version of my first book. If I remember correctly it was a woman with an American accent. (I don't know her.) There will be an audio version from the publisher (Viking). They have their own audio program. So, audio yes, audible no.
2021-11-12 16:24:53 +0000 UTCThanks :)
2021-11-12 16:23:30 +0000 UTCDon't praise me too early. It's a love or hate book, nothing in between.
