Countess Karo - "Pull up your shirt, please"

This time it's Karo outside of Pikmin Bits. I wanted to take on the ol' "Trying to just exist, but everyone's so focused on your chesticles" thing, and get crazy with it. I also wanted to have a shot at Karo outside of her position in Pikmin Bits, since she's still her own character and not necessarily a Pikmin OC.

This was the original dress, but it didn't seem to have Karo's character in there, it was mature-looking and office-y. Karo's more of a gothic dresser who doesn't want to admit they're heading to their 30s soon.

I've been watching the Beetlejuice cartoon the past few days, so I did a Beetlejuice-like dress for Karo.

To further go into the Beetlejuice aspect, I added a collar to the shirt.

There we have her!

Then I had to design the store manager.

I looked towards Morgan Proctor from Futurama, and Rancid Rabbit's outfit in "CatDog's End".

And finally the first background. They're quickly becoming my favorite part of new animations!

I plan to have the animation done by the end of today.

I got swept up by something else, so I don't think I'll be finishing this by bedtime, but I'm at least over halfway done.

Showing a little diagram of Karo's chest felt wayyyy too direct, so I put watermelons there instead.

I can probably finish this one tomorrow.

I'm taking an extra day to do some shots with the Onion Tier folks. The turtle is Mr. Pikmin, by the way. As I didn't rly wanna have copyrighted characters in the Vi/Karo-verse, I turned the Bulbmin into a turtle with a bonsai growing on its back. Like the big turtle in Great Bay from Majora's Mask.
