QUEEN MAPLE - Reef Clutcher (Still in Progress)

For this Wednesday slot, I'm doing a Maple comic. Part 1 is this Wednesday, and Part 2 is the next Wednesday.

Gave her a slight redesign to be fluffier and easier to draw!

Heavily based on Elh from the files of Luigi's Mansion. I'm likely gonna add two more arms up top for a page layout idea on page 3.

 This page is actually not done yet, because my stylus refuses to charge, which could be a big problem. I'm busting out the old Wacom from 2022 to continue work, but if this stylus business doesn't get resolved, I may have to replace it.

Hopefully I can have one to two more pages done by tomorrow night...

Hey, it's tomorrow night, and I got one or two more pages done!

 I think this'll be all for this Wednesday's slot. I'll be chipping at this story, and releasing what I got so far on Wednesdays, since I got some ideas for this...

LOVE an action page!

 Following this, I'll have her jump on the beast's back, punch the scalp so hard that it breaks skin, and takes the brain and controls it like a mech. This is how she'll get back to land.

Got two more pages done!

  Got these done in time, but I'm considering lowering the weekly page release down to say, two instead of three. One page per week might be a tad too slow of a drip-feed for me. Or even just vary it based on story beats, we'll just have to wait n' see...

Not to pat myself, but it's kinda fun seeing the jump between the first three pages, and these three. I may have to touch the previous pages up once I do a full release on a site like Webtoon, depending on where I decide to release it.

Alright, I'm gonna be narrowing it down to a page per week, since I'm having a lot of other things I need to finish up, like a Pizza Tower animation, a birthday animation, an Evelyn animation and playing Pizza Tower.

The slow-down on the comic will also let me do some concept panels for this to plan things out more smoothly. I'll be uploading those here when they're made. I also gotta do a revamp of the Vi the Imp Bible, since there's been a slight change in the series' priorities.

I did the next page a little earlier, since I really wanted to draw a hottie

 Next page, I think I'll have her surrounded by a whole hoarde of those beasts, one of them has a little Acerian in its claws that she's gotta save. Like, have a bunch of these little guys, but they're all strewn, torn apart, lifeless corpses, with this one remaining one about to be next.

 Wanted more of a chance to show her tearing stuff apart.

 Next page down! Maple's got the mother after her now, and all her sons. I might do the next page a little earlier, since I'm really dangling it with the whole wait-until-the-night-before thing.

Also, when the full thing is finished, there's a chance I'll just be redoing the first batch of pages, since the artstyle's kinda solidifying itself more as the story goes on.
