PRODUCTION JOURNAL - "Cannon Larva Carnage" (FINISHED)

EDIT, AGAIN: To streamline it a little before the official release Saturday at 10AM, I trimmed some of the Bit, and re-edited the music tracks. "Grubchucker Mother-Plucker" performed pretty poorly, most people didn't know what to feel or what was happening, so I tried to use different tracks and edits to clarify this one.

"Grubchucker Mother-Plucker" is done, I'm just waiting for one of the new supporters to send in a ref of their OC to add the end card. I've done the others, and I'm likely gonna post them anyway, even though I was waiting for that last person.

That aside, I've started this one up while I wait. It's a super simple idea, so I was wondering how I'd have it be long enough to warrant the end tag and intro, so it's not like having giant slices of bread over a thin slice of turkey.

If it can fit into 5 boards, it could probably go fine. I also had to add the buttwalk from Cow & Chicken.

Here's the initial refs of the Cannon Beetle family.

 I wanted the Larva to be vein, so I made him wear a self-made crown. The baby feels very Invader Zim to me, and the Cannon Beetle got more of a Rocko's Modern Life vvvvvibe. feels awkward using that word, why do i use that word

 So, I originally imagined this happening in Wistful Wild, because I always lure the Decorated Cannon Beetle into bouldering itself while the Purples are busy with the Doomsday Apparatus. However, some cutie who's probably reading this rn thought it was gonna be in Glutton's Kitchen, so now it IS.

 I'm gonna start working on the first shot with the "crown" after this.

Finished up another shot before bed!

 Makin' good progress here. I think I wanna give him some manly pecs for when he's gonna spit the boulder.

 This had to be changed since he was lookin' too slim here.

I'll be doing the shot where he spits the boulder next.

 Shame is for saps. I looked back at an episode of Cow & Chicken to ref the butt walk off of (the specific episode was "The Laughing Puddle".)

The crown, I kept forgetting to add, so the shot where he spits out the boulder had to be edited at the end to add the crown, which is why it's bobbing in mid air.

I didn't have to change anything in these shots wait DID I TYPE "VEIN" LAST TIME? BOYYY THAT'S ONE LETTER TO SINK THE WHOLE SENTENCE, AND NOW IT MAKES ZERO SENSE. WHY

Let's get the BGs here, since I forgot to add them last time.

  Next shot is gonna be the cute little baby cannon larvases. And everything's gonna go so right.

 What should we name them, honey? Given they're not likely to get crushed within the next few seconds.

 Ok, so this shot's BG was looking barren, so I added wooden planks. I may go back to the other BGs and do the same for consistency.

Between this, and "Grubchucker Mother-Plucker", the amount of times I've been drawing wood is up.

Bah-dum-TSSS.

 I love this shot so much, it's really dumb.

It feels neat to say this right after finishing another Bit a day ago, but this Bit is hereby FINISHED!

I'm glad to have this one completed, and the last shot with the Horned Cannon Beetle is something I especially enjoyed. This also marks the second time Glutton's Kitchen makes an appearance since "Breadbug Bowling"-- incidentally another Bit where rolling spherical objects clash with an innocent.

Since I did three Pikmin Bits, I'm gonna set the series a sit for a pinch so I can do two more planned Pokémon Bits (that series is gonna have a name change that will be announced in a future post.)
