One would think that the fighting part of the pokemon setting would be the main problem for a venlil - but really, most pokemon-keepers in the setting only spar occasionally, and the pokemon canonically enjoy it, and may expect it from their trainer. No, it's putting a team together to begin with that is the issue
As it involves throwing things with force and precision, an eminently human skill
The pokemon already in the team are a sableye, which looks very similar to u/migulehove's venlil style, and an espurr, another pokemon reminiscent of a venlil, known to help their trainers mange their emotions. Which seems necessary here
