This is one of the most requested compilations I've done. Definitely not for the faint of heart as this one is particularly brutal to the characters, with the women facing forced sex slavery and the men gruesome mutilation and death.
Since Gantz and Elfen Lied shocked audiences by blurring sex and violence a decade and a half ago, the sub-genre has grown in popularity. From what I can tell, this sub-genre has never been more popular than it is right now with so many manga copying this formula in recent years.
Among them, Ingoshima is probably the most impressive. The artwork is an easy 10/10, and the content is extreme enough to shock even veteran manga readers, not something that is easy to do. If rapey stuff is a no-go, then you might want to pass on this one. It's definitely not for everyone.
Personally as someone who likes fucked up manga, I've been looking forward to each volume release.
