But Elizabeth's got Irwyn's back ;) I find it funny how the two places Irwyn is interested in are a land so hot that even Conflagration can't go all the way in, and an Edict-ravaged probably-mostly-wasteland mountain range Now that all this time has passed... I wonder, how old is Irwyn? His protection from the Duchess only lasts so long, and then there are the fate magics cast by Golem that also have a time limit. Only so long until those wear off, probably. Although since Irwyn has been said (by Johnson, I think?) to be younger than he seems... is he 18-ish, or actually younger than that, and the fate magics have a while yet? We still don't exactly know the origins of his body. Only a matter of time, nonetheless
