Chapter 29 Can't really say no

Before he would bring Elmyra and Aerith back to his world.

He had to go to Wutai Village to give Yuffie back to her parents first.

Yuffie, who heard that he would leave her with her parents, couldn’t help but hug him tightly and cry.

She would never let her husband go no matter what!

She had a big puppy crush on him or should they say. First love.

It was hard for her to let it go.

“*sob* I don’t want to! I want to go with you Jaune nii-chan don’t leave me*sob*”

Kasumi spoke while looking at her daughter who obviously didn’t want to part with her future husband.

She hugged him like a koala.

“I-I am sorry Kasumi-san, I didn’t mean to make her cry like this.”

Jaune didn’t dare to touch her in front of her parents so he just sat there like a doll for Yuffie.

“Jaune-chan, you can call me Kasumi ka-chan like Yuffie-chan, you know. You are going to be our in-law in the future. So don’t be shy.”

Kasumi changed the honorifics when speaking with him. And it made him dumbfounded.

“Eh…”

Godo didn’t say anything and could only sighed.

He didn’t want to give his daughter to him or anyone but he didn’t have much choice.

And Kasumi knew about it too.

War between Shinra and Wutai became more intense even though they got the upper hand right now.

He knew that if the other sent more elite soldiers to the war. They could lose anytime.

And Jaune had proven that he was capable enough in taking care of his daughter.

“I have a proposal to make. I will give you this materia if you could take care of her for the time being. Or until the war ended.”

Jaune looked at Godo. He would always be the one that objects to his daughter having a fiance. But now he would give his daughter to him.

Godo didn’t say anything and showed him the materia he would give to him if he accepted Yuffie.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to use it in the war but he couldn’t.

Jaune didn’t ask anything further but touched it as Godo told him to and then. The materia disappeared into his hand!

Godo bowed his head to him. The one who was chosen by the water god would be their family god.

Godo was a traditional man. He didn’t have a problem marrying his daughter to their family god.

Jaune was speechless of what had happened. He wanted to say something but when he saw the dog eyes of Yuffie while she hugged him he couldn’t bring himself to say no.

“O-Okay, I will take care of Yuffie until the war ends but I have something to tell you two first before that.”

Jaune told them about him and the others except Aerith and Elmyra weren’t from this world.

They were shocked and didn’t believe it at first but Jaune showed them the picture of their world and the iconic shattered moon.

They couldn’t help but believe it. They also felt reassured that their daughter's safety would be guaranteed in a place far away from Shinra influence.

As for Grimm? Meh. The monsters in this world were much stronger than them.

“So you can make a trade with us right.”

Godo smiled widely. Even though they could buy and sell things from their ally in the other continents, it took so much time. But if they could trade with him. It would only take a little bit of time.

Jaune nodded, then he introduced himself again as a shop owner.

He issued cards for Godo to have him distribute to the one he trusted so they could buy and sell things to him.

They could hunt monsters to get more coins too.

“This is a miracle. With you by our side we will not have to be afraid of Shinra anymore as we can make our own soldiers!”

The number of his customers went up and now he could buy more things permanently.

Jaune brought everyone back to the remnant world through the metalic door.

Before he went back he felt the calling of the planet.

He felt his head was going to burst but fortunately. His assistance helped him.

Even if the planet didn’t ask him he would still do that.

He also got a 50% discount of anything he wanted to buy from that world if he agreed to help the planet.

So it’s a win-win.

Ren and Nora were there to welcome them.

“Welcome back everyone!”

“Yes, Welcome back even though you all just went away for a second.”

Ren and Nora greeted them. Nora acted like they were away for a long time but in fact they just go and come back in a second.

Jaune looked at the clock and calendar in his scroll.

He sighed in relief that meant when they travel to another world his world’s time would really stop.

Ciel told him that the time of another world that he wasn’t in would stop.

“Then why did the world that Ifalna came from the time went past by the whole ten years?”

[It might be because Ifalna's world and the host world still do not connect to each other completely.]

Jaune nodded. Ceil also said that it wasn’t Jaune who connected to the world by himself but because of the will of the planet forcefully connecting itself to Jaune world so the mistake occurred during that time.

Jaune after checking his scroll. He then spoke to Elmyra, Aerith and Yuffie.

“I will show you the empty rooms please follow me.”

There were still empty rooms left for three or four people.

Elmyra and Aerith nodded while Yuffie jumped on his back. They were ready to follow Jaune.

But before Jaune could lead them to the empty rooms. Someone stopped them first.

“I-I want to stay here too. If possible”

Weiss spoke as she looked at Jaune shyly. This was the first time she asked a boy for her to stay over at his home.

She won’t go back to Atlas as her father told her to.

She was old enough to make her choice.

She didn’t care if he would suspend her credit card as she could get money from Jaune using a bronze coin dropped from Beowolf or any grimm easily.

So the Lien wasn’t a problem. The problem was. If Jaune would allow her to stay or not. She believed that he would never abandon her.

And it was as she had thought. He was too sweet to do something bad to her.

“Why not? You can stay here as much as you like. Treat it as your home!”

Jaune then told her to follow him as he would show her the empty rooms too.

Aerith looked at everything with a smile.

This was the first time he went to another world. Who would have thought it would be this easy.

“This world is already dead…”

Aerith’s smile fell when she tried to feel this planet. She felt that it was already dead but somehow it still functioned normally.

She felt weird. She really wasn’t good enough to control her power as Cetra yet.

She felt a hand touch her shoulder and she felt at ease.

“Even though this planet was already dead, you can’t just feel it on the surface level. Try to look deeper and you will find something interesting.”

Ifalna taught Aerith after she felt the planet of remnant.

She looked deeper and found that there was a sprout of the planet glowing.

The old one was dead but the new one was born.

This was also the circle of life. This world faced destruction before like their world was facing right now.

If Shinra won’t stop destroying the planet. The planet would die and every living being would go extinct.

They would not be so lucky like the humans and faunus in this world.

Aerith stopped looking at the planet of remnant. She felt really tired right now.

She needed to train more if she wanted to become powerful like her mother.

Elmyra watched the two of them. She sighed. She didn’t like them and didn’t know what to do from now on.

‘I don’t have any goal in my life. I just want to live peacefully with my daughter but those bastards won’t stop.’

Elmyra shook her head. She would go to ask the young man if there was anything she could do in this world.

She didn’t of going back to her world anymore. She had nothing left there.

‘This might be a good chance to start a new life.’

She was good at micro management. Maybe she could help him with odd jobs. She heard that he opened the shop after all.

Even though she was old she had experience in business.

And she might be someone that Jaune really needed right now.
