Chapter 13 Ifalna the Centra
Added 2025-06-04 00:54:21 +0000 UTCIfalna was on the verge of death. She was shot almost everywhere on her body. Her body was full of blood now.
Shinra Soldiers were so cruel. Fortunately, she found a good person to take care of her daughter. Otherwise she wouldn’t be able to die peacefully.
“Please live on for me my dear daughter. Aerith”
She was about to die and when her life was about to end a golden door materialized near her. It called for her to open it.
As a Centra. She could communicate with the planet.
The planet used its life force to heal her for her to be able to stand and open the door.
The planet pleaded for her to open that door. That door was not only for her hope to survive but for every living being on the planet too.
She gritted her teeth. She thought of Aerith, her daughter. If she had a way to survive then. She would do anything for her reunion with her daughter once again.
She opened the golden door with all her might. She then heard someone speak right into her mind. Her voice was very alluring.
[Welcome to Jaune Multiversal Convenience Store. The place where you can buy and sell everything in the vast multiverse.]
[You will survive for as long as you are in the store and please look after the owner. When the times come you will be able to reunite with your daughter with his help.]
Then she saw a group of young women eating sandwiches. She wanted to ask for their help, but her connection with the planet got cut off after she went through the door.
Everything went black after that.
…
“Ugh…My head”
Ifalna tried to open her eyes. She felt sore all over her body. but she didn’t feel hurt anywhere anymore.
She had great difficulty trying to get up from her bed. and when she finally sat up. She began to look around in panic.
Then it settled on her that she was saved by a group of young women. She sighed in relief. She was still alive. and she had a chance to meet her daughter once again.
“Oh you wake up already. That's good news! Please wait a moment, let me check on you a little bit.”
She heard a young man's voice. He might be the doctor that young women called to help her.
He came near her and did something to the device that connected her to a computer. She didn’t feel surprised or anything. No, she felt scared of it. She had a very bad experience with being connected to a computer.
She looked at him carefully, She was afraid that he might do something to her like Shinra did to her and her daughter.
To her relief he didn’t do any of that. and when she was relaxed she then felt something from him.
‘What a ginormous life force!’
This was the first time she met with someone with such enormous vitality.
He could rival those huge monsters that Shinra needed a whole company of soldiers to take down.
Those monsters were not an intelligent life form if they could fight with their brain then. a company of soldiers might not be enough.
‘Maybe he could stand against that man.’
She shook her head at such a thought. As she saw him, he wasn’t a fighter but a doctor.
“Are you feeling unwell anywhere? As I check your status. You just have some muscle pain due to staying in a lying position for a long time.”
“How…How long I’ve been unconscious.”
“Two days”
Ifalna sighed in relief. She met someone who fell unconscious for years before they woke up. She was scared if she was the same case as them.
“T-Thank you for the help you gave me doctor. as for the treatment cost I-”
The young man stopped her from speaking about treatment any further. He smiled kindly at her and spoke to her with gentleness.
“Oh you don’t need to pay me anything. I knew you didn’t have money on you and even if you pay me with your money. I can’t use it because in this world we don't use gil as currency. So you don’t need to”
The young man spoke like she was not on her planet then it hit her.
“Wait a minute… This is not my world!”
And that was when the Centra knew that she had been sent to another world!
Qrow Branwen the unlucky one. That was him, a maidenless handsome dude.
He was flying around a forest in Anima in his crow form. He was trying to find his sister, Raven Brawen. His effort was proven to be pointless. as now he had seen a place where once the Branwen tribe should be.
But now they are gone.
Raven had been evacuated with her tribe away from here months ago.
His informant wasn’t fast enough in gathering the information around Anima.
He could only sigh. It was very hard to track his sister down. Even with his luck right now.
“Damn it, I thought my luck had improved but it still sucked!”
Qrow now didn’t face any misfortune after drinking the potion Jaune forced him to buy.
It wasn’t expensive per say if it was he would never humor Jaune. but now when he experiences the feeling of being normal again. He yearned for more but Jaune told him that the potion would still be in effect for around twelve hours if he drank another one it would just extend the time limit. and It will never make him more lucky.
But that was enough for him to drink a dozen. He still had his savings. He could buy it and extend the limit to over a year or two!
He could do so much more with his niece without the unlucky aura on!
“Looks like I fly over to Anima for nothing. *Groan* Nothing I could do well, Let's head back before the potion effect runs out.”
Qrow then flew back to Jaune’s store. He would be one of his loyal customers from now on.
…
“What! This is ridiculous!”
Qrow was looking at Jaune like he grew a second head. He thought that the potion price was only 100 lien, who would have thought it would be 200 times more expensive.
This was a daylight robbery! Even Raven wouldn’t be this ruthless.
He let him try it and when he became addicted to it. He then raised the price to an unreasonable amount!
Jaune just smiled awkwardly. He could just buy it for him but it wouldn’t work out in the long run.
‘Ciel, I think the price is too much. Do you have a solution for this?’
Jaune was thinking about how to make him able to collect copper coins like he did. In that way he wouldn’t have to use lien as the currency in his store.
His store price using their currency was quite bloody to be honest.
[Ceil recommended the host to buy the privilege cards and gave it to the ones that host trust. With that when they hunt grimm or any creature of their world they would get coins. but It would directly be sent to the host and become their credit in their cards.]
‘Wow, There’s a thing like that too. Wouldn't I be rich without having to do anything and just leash off of them?’
[But the host will only get 5% of their income]
‘Well, That still much when I don’t have to do anything.’
Qrow was now crying bloody tears. He thought that he would have something that could make him spend more time with his nieces. but all of them were gone because of this bloody murderer!
“Eh…Qrow I have something to tell you-”
“You! You do it on purpose! I will never let you have my nieces! You have to go over my dead body. I would never sell them out to someone like you! You piece of sh*t!”
“Ouch! Calm down, Old man. I just want to tell you that you don’t need lien to buy it but you have to hunt some grimm for me”
“Eh…Is that all, You don’t want my nieces?”
“No, Ruby is cute and funny and Yang is beautiful and sexy but I already have girlfriends. and the two of them are quite territorial.”
“Oh so you and the red head and the cat are already a thing, that’s good. Don't be a maidenless like me. It hurts every night.”
“Ewww. Don’t you dare talk about it. Here is your card. When you hunt grimm the number that show on your card will go up and you can use it to by anything you want in my store…even lien”
“You, are you being serious right now?”
“Yup, But you can’t tell anyone. This is final, please promise me otherwise forget about it.”
Jaune was about to pull the card back but Qrow was fast.
“Okay, Okay, Geez I promise. Is that all? If that’s all I will just go and wipe out some grimm.”
And that’s when Qrow became a coin pumping machine for him.
