Chapter 57 A Birthday Invitation and a Budding Friendship

A few days after Naruto’s return, an invitation arrived at the Senju compound, addressed to him.

Fugaku Uchiha, head of the Uchiha clan, was hosting a birthday party for his daughter, Satsuki, and had personally requested Naruto's presence.

Fugaku, ever the astute leader, recognized the importance of maintaining strong ties with the prominent Senju clan and, by extension, Naruto's adoptive mother, Daji, the Ninetales demonic true goddess.

The invitation was a strategic move, hoping to foster a friendly relationship between the two young heirs.

Naruto, though still wrestling with the notion of attending the Academy, found himself intrigued.

He'd heard whispers of the Uchiha heiress, a quiet and cute girl, and the thought of a birthday party offered a momentary distraction from the impending tedium of school.

Besides, he knew it was another step in playing his part, a part Hagoromo had set for him.

When the day of the party arrived, Naruto, dressed in a simple but well-made kimono, made his way to the Uchiha compound.

The atmosphere was lively, filled with the chatter of children and the murmur of adults.

Amidst the crowd, he spotted her. Satsuki Uchiha was a vision of innocence, with her glossy black hair falling around her shoulders and wide, curious black eyes.

She was indeed cute and shy, clinging a little to her mother's side.

As the party progressed, Naruto found himself drawn to her quiet demeanor.

He noticed she didn't have many friends, often observing the other children from a distance.

When he approached her, a faint blush colored her cheeks, and she looked down, a little nervous.

"Hi, I'm Naruto," he said, offering a small, genuine smile.

Satsuki slowly looked up, her black eyes meeting him.

"S-Satsuki," she whispered, her voice soft.

They spoke for a while, a comfortable silence often punctuated by shared smiles.

Satsuki, initially reserved, slowly began to open up. She found herself surprisingly at ease with Naruto, drawn to his easy going nature.

By the end of the party, a tentative connection had formed.

"Are you... going to the Academy?" Satsuki asked, just before Naruto left, her voice filled with a hopeful curiosity.

Naruto nodded.

"Yeah, starting soon."

A small, genuine smile touched Satsuki's lips.

"Me too. Maybe... we can be friends?"

Naruto's smile widened.

"I'd like that, Satsuki-chan."

The budding friendship between Naruto and Satsuki was, however, put to an unexpected test.

As the party wound down and guests began to depart, a sudden commotion erupted.

Several cloaked figures, swift and silent, appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

Before anyone could react, two of them lunged, grabbing Naruto and Satsuki.

Panic rippled through the Uchiha compound as the assailants, identified by their distinctive headbands as Kumo ninjas, began to retreat with their young captives.

Naruto remained calm, he was at the Emperor Profound Realm.

He could have obliterated his captors with a mere thought, but he held back.

A deep-seated curiosity, a trait often encouraged by Daji, spurred him to observe.

He wanted to understand their motives, their objectives.

What could Kumo possibly want with a Senju adoptee and an Uchiha heiress?

The Kumo ninjas, skilled and desperate, plunged into the dense foliage of the Forest of Death, a notorious training ground known for its treacherous terrain and dangerous wildlife.

They moved with urgency, undoubtedly aware of the reprisal that would soon follow.

As they ran, Naruto, feigning struggle, subtly attuned his senses.

He overheard snippets of their hurried whispers, fragmented phrases about "bloodline limits" and "strategic advantage."

As their reasons became clearer, a cold understanding settled within Naruto.

They weren't after him for any personal vendetta, but for their latent abilities, for the power they represented.

The Kumo ninjas, desperate to bolster their own village's strength, were resorting to kidnapping.

While he could have unleashed his full power and ended their lives swiftly,

Naruto decided against it. Killing them would be too simple, too final.

Instead, he opted for capture.

He'd bring them back, expose their treachery, and perhaps even glean more information from them.

Beside him, Satsuki was trembling, her initial shock giving way to fear.

The dark, eerie forest, the rough handling, and the unknown fate ahead were overwhelming her.

Sensing her distress, Naruto subtly shifted, moving closer. "It's okay, Satsuki-chan," he whispered, his voice calm and reassuring,

"I won't let anything happen to you."

His words, laced with an unspoken strength, had an immediate effect.

Satsuki looked at him, her wide black eyes searching his face.

The fear in her gaze slowly receded, replaced by a nascent trust.

A warm wave of relief washed over her, and in that moment of shared peril and Naruto's comforting presence, a new, profound feeling began to blossom in her young heart.

If Hinata and Xia Qingyue knew about this. They would regret not follow Naruto to this world.
