Wake up
Added 2022-03-25 22:00:03 +0000 UTCThe morning routine of Polly is simple in the morning. She gets up, get onto her wheelchair and wheel herself to the bathroom. After washing up, she gets dressed and head out for her favorite breakfast, Smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese and a cup of hot latte.
She thinks of everyday she gets as a gift to her. She thinks that she is each day she lives now is a gift she gets after the accident. She feels that she is lucky that she is still alive.
She is also thankful that she still has her legs. With her legs still intact, she knows that with future technology, she may be able to walk again and feel the grass under her feet once again.
Even though each day she looks at her legs, they are slowly wasting away. The muscles are shrinking because of the lack of stimulation. Each day, her leg is getting thinner. She wish the day will come soon that will repair her and she will no longer be paralyzed.
