New pages!

Right THERE!

To read after reading the pages!

Those pages ain't sponsored by Duritos lol.

I hadn't initially planned for this scene to turn into a flashback, but I'm glad I decided to go with it! I think it was about time we start learning more about Tera's story and his background. It's just another piece of the puzzle, but there are plenty of interesting elements here, open to analysis!

I think it's becoming clear that Tera is responsible for a lot of things, some more obvious than others in these pages. And I like that.
I absolutely loved working on the last three pages—I adore those shots of Luc (the Tiger) and Black Death. I was also super excited to finally use Tera from the comic's cover. I hope you like this one :D

Side note: Transitions in comics are hard to pull off (meaning I dunno if I'm great at it but there are a lot in this comic lol), but I like how Tera looking at his hands 'holding the mask' triggers a memory because of what Kain, the Rabbit, says; and he ends up just seeing his bloody hands.

Side (rAnDOm) note 2: My proofreader pointed out something amusing: Page 666 is the one that reveals the event that propelled Tera to where he is now (Black Death).
Made me think I had already alluded to this on the last page of Chapter 10—here's what I wrote at the time: "I had him looking down because a long time ago he made a step away from what is right. He is looking down like he was thinking of when he was hurled into hell. He fell. Like Lucifer falling from Heaven."
And now 666 (beast's number) is the page where we get to see THE event that led to his downfall. What made him 'a monster'. The SIN you know.
Just thought it was funny, I'llstoprighttherewhatamIevensaying -

ANYWAY

We'll learn more in upcoming updates, but I hope you enjoyed these pages!

Thank you so, so much for all the support and love guys <3

I finally was able to read and I don't know ow why the last panel just started making me cry.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BOY 🍰🎁🎉

And I really enjoy and am interested by the two panels at the end where it goes straight from Tera’s face of shock/awe/fear to the teeth on Luc’s tiger mask. Luc is a predator and it seems like Tera’s first instinctual reaction was appropriate to that fact.

Sometimes we have to tell stories to justify our lives to ourselves and that’s what it feels like Kain is doing here

Hello, I've missed sharing. The comment section has felt intimidating, I’m having trouble being perceived and so am addressing multiple posts here. ~ I hope your time off was restful and fun, I was glad to hear you do that. I don’t do much for Halloween but I observe Samhain. Throughout October I also watched witchy silliness in shows like “Charmed” and “A Discovery of Witches” I have a sentimental attachment to the occult, which is funny considering the teenage years I was an outspoken atheist.(I'm agnostic these days.) Going to the first art extra this month, thank you so much for posting and sharing while you weren’t totally happy. Maybe that sounds strange, but truly, it helped me to hear about it and to see the piece. It reminded me that we need to share because if we don’t it’s possible to become so self-critical we stop sharing at all. For me, anyway. I’ve been struggling with my process a lot and this was a wonderful boost to keep me going after I’d contemplated things for a while. To the second art extra, my fashion is mixed. I collect vintage clothing and enjoy looking like a gentleman from the 1940s or a grunge creature of the 1990s, it’s a wide range, I experiment. I’m trans/non-binary(any pronouns) but lean masc in my styling. I have beautiful dresses, and wear almost exclusively crop tops, I’m just almost always in pants. It’s rare I feel in the mood for my dresses or skirts. With the chapter update, I have thoughts, a relief as I wasn’t sure I would. (Some of these things ended up being said by other comments, I hope you don’t mind any repetition. I created this on my own and then saw people point out details. I needed to keep my own words for those details to preserve the flow of my thoughts. I do my best not to be redundant.) ~ Happy first time seeing Kain's name said in the comic, I was waiting for that. I'm interested that this is the first time seeing Tera wear a cloth mask under his wolf mask in the comic as well. Did he feel the need for additional protection? Something amusing me, how did Tera transport the broken mask? I have an entertaining visual of him hiding it under his new mask, meaning he may have worn the three all at once. That the Boy painted the broken mask makes me feel that Tera took a piece of the Boy with him as a comfort object like a worry stone. I love how Tera is the only one whose back is turned on the last page of this update, it feels like saying he’s turning his back on this life, even as he is partially turned toward them in the picture. Which then feels like foretelling him confronting them. I love too that knowing the image is partially from the comic cover, I can imagine Tera looking toward the Boy. Kain saying the whole world would have left them to rot is crushing. It displays the lack of faith in humanity, that this group is all they could, should, ever have. It also shows how they abandoned Joris together for this supposed family of Black Death. How painfully amusing that Joris doesn’t see that either. For now Joris has seemed to get angry at everyone except Kain. My mind is caught asking about what those missions that Tera is missing might be. From Chapter 13, Tera didn’t join Kain when he had a man in his trunk. I’ve assumed that he died. I’m annoyed by this, but I actually feel for Kain and Joris in the pages. When Tera says he didn’t ask Kain to cover for him, Kain looks legitimately taken aback, hurt even. Then seeing Joris as a child, and the other two as teens younger than the Boy is now…I didn’t want to care about them honestly, I wanted to dismiss them, it felt like it’d be easier. It's funny that Kain says he followed Tera through all Tera’s mess, yet Tera is following Kain in the flashback pages. Seeing Tera smile strikes me, it makes me feel how he was a reckless kid, and makes me wonder if Tera is seeing now that he wasn’t invincible. That he really was young and still scared, no matter that his father was gone. He hadn’t actually faced anything yet, he shut down. Numbness is not the same as courage. When Tera sees Luc, Tera does look afraid.(Is that dirt or a bruise on his face? It looks like there’s blood on Kain’s hand.) I feel a sarcastic grumble of how that’s just fantastic, another abusive authority figure. Luc’s shadow appearing before he does feels appropriate. Between them, it’s possible Kain and Joris’ family was more neglectful, their mother may have been an alcoholic and their father may be dead or have otherwise left. While Tera in contrast I imagine had an abusive father dominating his household. The unique features of these can make people prone to certain behaviors. Kain seems to lean heavily on idolization of Luc, Joris in turn idolizes Kain. The neglect I imagine them facing during childhood makes that something understandable. They didn’t have someone to look up to in the house so they looked outside it. Tera is in a different situation. Having an abusive figure means that most people, except very select ones he becomes attached to, are disregarded by him, assumed to be either a threat or unimportant. I feel Tera has become angry at not only himself for what he did, but at Black Death and Kain. Tera is being obviously distant and avoidant, which Kain sees. Their relationship has broken, neither one seems to know yet how much, however. It’d be very complicated and painful for Tera probably, he may feel resentment and rage about feeling trapped in this world, while having to carry the burden of his choices. They may not have felt like choices at the time, we can react in ways during the moment that we hate later. I wonder if they haunt him, I’ve read in multiple places about soldiers and prisoners having nightmares of the people they killed. He seems tired. In my reading about veterans specifically it’s been said that a way to help them through trauma is to keep them connected with their fellows. That PTSD symptoms tend to get worse in isolation. Tera breaking from the group, I could see him begin to manifest symptoms. I always love seeing Tera’s necklace, it feels like a tiny piece of himself that he saved. I feel I see him more in that pendant than I do in any of his masks. The blood, torn shirt and bruises of that panel easily form a scene of the fight he was in. Where was his mother? I’ve had the feeling since we saw the necklace that his mother gave it to him. I’m often wondering what their relationship was like, if he possibly acted in defense of her. Kain saying Luc made them pierces my heart, I feel like Tera didn’t want to be this. I really enjoy knowing about page 666, I’m glad that was mentioned. The pages are beautiful, I feel you did a wonderful job and I love knowing it was unexpected for you how it came together. I find those things inspiring, it keeps me going when I reach a block and it seems as if I’ll never get beyond that point. Something usually arrives I didn’t see coming, I hold such moments to remind me to hope and keep trying. Last update Tera surprised me by helping Dumont(the pizza man.) I hadn’t expected Tera to do anything to help anyone except the Boy until something more happened. This isn’t at all a commentary on the story, it was a hit to my own trust issues…That’s why I did my – comment, panic, delete – thing on the previous update day. I felt lost about what to say and needed to wait to see what would come of Kain and Tera together again. I find it difficult any time they’re together. I was both relieved and happy for Tera making different choices, and ripped apart about things in my personal life. I’m still in a very raw place. If you know about attachment theory I’d be categorized as disorganized. (Tera may be avoidant. Kain and Joris could be anxious. The Boy is more complicated, before the fire, I feel he was secure, and after he displays a disorganized-like behavior. I consider those as separate lives for him.) Love is terrifying for me, I expect harm when it happens. Not intentionally mind you, it happens automatically, I have to work very hard to recognize this pattern. I was totally unprepared for Tera to do something helpful. Just as I was unprepared for the humor of the gallery. I feel healing happen because of that, but healing hurts. It was entertaining to me that Tera said Dumont had no idea what he was doing getting involved with Black Death, I don’t think Tera did himself, and that he still doesn’t really know what he’s doing. I’m curious too how important or trivial Dumont may have been to the group, will it be significant that he doesn’t follow through on the deal? ~ Some rambles I’ve been trying all November to piece together: I’m curious what type of Christianity Black Death follows, and what parts Tera may or may not believe. Is Tera Catholic? What about the Boy’s Grandma, she might be as well. It’s interesting to me that both her son and grandson may not be faithful, the Uncle seems not to attend church, and the Boy has said he doesn’t believe. Perhaps all that is obvious and already answered, I'm ignorant of most religion. I’ve only read part of a Bible and I’ve only been in a church a handful of times. Speaking of ignorance, I’ve been reading about Paris history and the conflicts between religious groups is absorbing. Not being French, I know barely anything about France and the violence of Paris is surprising. Which perhaps it shouldn’t be as revolutionary action is commonly connected, but more so is the stereo type of Paris being a city of art. I look at the “City of Light” image shown where I’m from and then look at its reality and am reminded that passion drives not only creativity, it drives destruction. Another example of things I didn’t know, the name “City of Light” originates from King Louis XIV appointing Gabriel Nicolas de la Reynie the Lieutenant General of Police, tasking him with making Paris safer during the 1660s. Among the actions taken were to place lanterns on many streets and telling citizens to light their windows to prevent crime. I never would have thought of that if I hadn’t looked for it. At a time Paris was a murder capital of Europe.(Your country had so many kings named Louis by the way, I keep mixing them up.) Related, I read about terrorism recently as well in a book called, “How Terrorism Ends” by Audrey Kurth Cronin, and it’s a funny coincidence, apparently terrorist groups are shown to last an average of eight years before coming apart for various reasons. It connected immediately to the story and how it’s approaching that time since the Boy’s fire. My imagination of what will happen for Black Death was ignited in unexpected ways. Among those reasons covered in the book: “Decapitation: Catching or killing the leader” I was interested that this one said killing the leader isn’t as effective as imprisoning them. Being a martyr is easier when you’re dead, being alive and trapped isn’t as inspiring to your followers. It also can trigger power struggles within the group. Do you work to free the leader, appoint someone new? What do you do when they’re still partially here and have been preaching freedom or death? They don’t have as much moral cachet anymore. One wouldn’t feel quite as motivated to risk their life for someone when they don’t risk their own. [The perceived morality, justification, of actions by group, government, and the people is very important here. Everyone is trying to say they’re right.] “Negotiation: Transition toward a legitimate political process” This one connected to things I’ve read specifically about Paris history, in other places, kings and governments have on multiple occasions chosen to offer amnesty to a violent group in exchange for their ceasing violence. I find that an engaging fact, as Cronin points out, we’re sold the message that negotiations with terrorists are out of bounds, yet historically it has happened. “Success: Achieving the objective” I was held to attention here about the transitions of some groups previously labeled terrorists into acting governments, and of governments labeled terrorists, our view of something is powerful. You’re a hated enemy for a time and then transformed into heroes, or the opposite, or forgotten all together. I wonder about it. “Failure: Imploding, provoking a backlash, or becoming marginalized” This one was probably what I was most expecting to hear about. Holding together a group, especially with such intense feelings as would be seen in terrorism, is hard. Your revolutionary acts grow tiring for the population you’re dependent on. People become disenchanted by radical action, it tends to burn bright and fast. You need to know what you’re going to offer after it. Otherwise you may not change anything, or all you may do is tear down one system of oppression to see another pop up, making things more unstable than before. When resorting to violence, you can expect it to be used against you too, no matter if they used to be allies. Terrorism is an ineffective method, it’s the act of the desperate. “Repression: Crushing terrorism with force” This one was also expected, I’ve heard often about governments taking drastic, extreme measures to quell uprising. It’s a devastating fact of history that states are hard to oppose successfully. It’s something especially to try to avoid due to just how high the cost in lives during overwhelming force is to everyone. “Reorientation: Transition toward another modus operandi” It was interesting to learn about groups that went from political objectives of some kind to “everyday” criminality. Money and the ease it can create is tempting to most people, no matter their beliefs. Groups may also go toward what is called more “traditional” types of warfare. The line between a terrorist campaign and a full-on war is harder to distinguish these days. Modern technology and resulting action have reshaped the landscape considerably. The internet was spoken of often, how it allowed movements to not need to physically recruit anymore. You can radicalize someone from anywhere in the world now through instant connection. ~ That has me questioning, what about Luc and Black Death? What will happen for them? I’d felt I had a sense of the general picture, but I see there could be events I didn’t think of. Currently I feel disconnected from the ending, some things may happen, I don’t have a preference for now. It’s years away for us, there’s time to consider options. An idea may jump out at me later, it feels we’re in a place of broadening the view of this world where much is being seen and I may need time to adjust. I feel I reached limitations in my knowledge base which has me diving heavily into study, I haven’t been commenting but I’ve written many notes. You probably have a much clearer view of this than I, at the moment I feel a pause waiting to see where you take Black Death. Every group is unique, and though I feel I can imagine their personal, inner life, the outer manifestation of that, the mechanics of just what they’re actually doing, remains a mystery to me. The book itself was an enjoyable read, odd as that may sound. I’m glad to hear more examples of how violence is ineffective. I was brought to contemplate tactical versus strategic action, the difference between short-term and long-term thinking.(I was so taken by the consideration of time I read another book, “The Long View” by Richard Fisher) I have other books I’m getting through about criminal groups, warfare, and history as I feel Black Death is some combination of gang and organization. I’m adding it to my reading on the individual psychology of violent people. The whole topic of humanity is fascinating to me, in all our variations. I’m currently in the middle of, “Seven Ages of Paris” by Alistair Horne, I want to have an intimacy with Paris itself because of this story. I try to figure out where in Paris specifically they are every time we see the city, I’ve come to love the place. I picked up, “A Savage War of Peace” by Alistair Horne as well, initially because I wanted to know more about warfare, and it’s recommended, but also because it’s about the French conflict with Algeria, another thing I know little about. Being me, I don’t want to end with sadness or give the impression I only focus on harsh subjects. Other recent reads included, “Freedom” by Jaiya John, and, “Healing the Soul Wound” by Eduardo Duran. Both were beautiful, encouraging books that comforted me. ~ I love the pages, they’re helpful through a rough going. I spent November scared I’d have nothing to say, and scared to say anything, then this happened when I saw them.

Nice catch! Thanks for pointing that out! Makes me wonder about the purpose. I doubt it's because it's cold (almost Christmas), but maybe because Tera expects to lose/drop his mask one way or the other. Seeing his face would be a death warrant for any witness... (or most, Jo not included, because he knows him anyways, even with just his eyes visible, like when Tera lifted the visor of his helmet, while Jo had the Boy in his trunk). Thrilling opportunities...

Since the story came this far already, here's a little list of introduced characters so far (subject to correction!): Alex: From the first Chapter, masked “Mr. Burns handwringing”- Guy, got “grounded forever by his Mom” (Jo told us) Anna: Boys Granny, living with her son and grandson Anna: Hairstylist “between the scenes” onset in one of the extras (not story-related) “Asian Guy”: Friend of Joris at Starcups and the Guy who groped the Boy during their attempt to kidnap the Boy Bob: Cop with the Boy’s uncle, at the scene of the bank robbery and also reporting the parking garage "incident" to the Boy's uncle, also missing the Boy's point when he desperately tried to tattletale about Tera being a member of "Black Desk" (I still don’t trust that Bob- dude!) Emily: little girl the Boy babysits in chapter 1 and owner of the dead guineapig Joris/Jo: Kain’s (Rabbit) younger brother Kain (Rabbit): Rabbit Mask, Jo’s brother and Teras best friend, dropped out of school same time Tera did Laurent Dumont: "That Pizza Guy", about to sign the contract with Black Death (Chapter 13), owner of "The Good Slice" Lee: The Boy’s shrink, having the Boy over since he was 10yrs old, also a friend of the family Luc: Tiger Mask, almost 30yrs old (see Picos post 14.07.2021) and the one who made Tera and Kain who they are now. Head of their Black Death crew Madame Dupont: Chapter 1, at the window, while Tera and the Boy were on the car after the Boy went for Tera’s crown jewels and made the wolf howl loud enough for her to complain Monsieur Gaston: Granny Charmer and their neighbor form the get-go, cared for the Boy and played games with him, widower, like the Boy's granny, Anna Muta: One of Teras cats, big black fluffy (Tera has 3 cats, but this is one of the older posts and currently not story-related) Muta: Boss of the "Pizza delivery Gang" (Chap. 9) Pig: Pig Mask (currently wearing dreads) and part of Luc's Black Death crew Tera: The Wolf (Rabbits "best friend" since childhood, 192cm tall, early 20s), birthday 19.08, Leo, blood type 0 The Boy: 18yrs (since recently), 14.12. birthday, Sagittarius, 174cm, orphan living with his granny and uncle in witness protection Tom: "Pizza-delivery-gang"- guy who got shot in the leg when the Boy took Tera’s gun and tried to run away from them after crashing into Muta with his bike. He dropped the gun and it fired by accident. Bye bye, Tom’s leg. Tony: currently missing (probably burned down with his shop executed by Tera and Kain for insurance purpose. Signed a contract with Black Death) Uncle: of the boy, cop and high enough up in the chain of command within the police to give orders. Living with his mother, Anna, caring for her. Doesn’t have a family of his own

It's so sad to hear Kain say no one wanted "them" when even in the flashback you see baby Joris glued to his hip 🥺 . I'm glad Tera had someone for support, but at the expense of the baby brother that looked up to him is heartbreaking

ghibligirlie90

Hi Aj, Muta is the Boss of the "Pizza-delivery-Gang". Tera clashed with him at the gas station and killed the whole gang later on in the parking garage.

Mellowcat

Wait, so is Tera’s real name Muta???

Aj

The last page is amazing !!!!!❤️

Julie

I reread the beginning of chapter 14 and noticed that Tera is wearing a mask 😷 under his wolf mask 🧐🧐🧐

OK I see the update now. Thank you so much for the advice! 😁

Latisha Harris

I while back I left a comment on tapas saying that what was in the bag (ep52, chap 12) was most likely a gift for the boy because he had gone to his house a few times and likely seen the calendar :) felt pretty proud when I saw that I was right

Ava

Hi Latisha, I hope this solution works: Try open the Patreon website via browser (for example Firefox) and log in here. You should be able to access the new chapter this way. It may also help to clear the cache. It usually works fine on a computer instead of smartphone.

Mellowcat

I'm sorry to ask this but I can't see the update. It is in the chapter 14 (Just started) link, right? I can't see what everyone else is seeing. I only see the first 10 pages and that's it.

(Sorry in advance for taking up so much space) Interesting thoughts/comments on this update here. Though I thought maybe it’s not Jo (being the - by Aspen referred - “Kain’s brother”)… maybe it’s Tera. And Luc, very much like Lucifer, recruiting his army of fallen ones. He made them, after all. The one (false) prophet, who believed in them, when no one else did. They were still kids back then. And listening to Kain, talking about Black Death, fire and family, loyalty and how the Tiger on the prowl “made” them… Tera might be the brother losing against Kain’s loyalty to this god-like omnipotent creator, Luc. Tera has such a soft spot for… innocence. Muta fiercely attacking the Boy really triggered Tera. Just as much as Jo’s verbal abuse of the Boy did… so I think it might not just be physical abuse which was a part of Tera’s youth. And since he does value the necklace he’s wearing so much – I think it might have been his “father”… Tera’s worst nightmare, probably plaguing his mom and him. I imagine it was constant abuse of some sorts – until the “scrawny kid” - like Jo described a young Tera - grew up quite a bit and finally fought back. And right after, he showed up on Kain’s doorstep with those bloody hands and ripped clothes. Time to drop out of school and follow Tera into the unknown. It worked, for a while, stealing those little things and getting away with it, always one step ahead of the police, Tera did smile. I imagine that those two did spark the Tigers interest. Capable kids, and showing up at their hideout, their rooftop or their place to rest... I can see from whom Tera got his knack for dramatic entrances.... Kain thought they were on top of the world back then. Too fast, too smart. But as soon as they were ready for the masks – they got even much stronger. Kain loved living with Black Death – and still does, apparently – no more fear. I also think it’s remarkable, how Kain was able to call out Luc when he was beating that bank clerk into a bloody pulp. Kain stopped Luc, told him, that’s not how they deal with things like this. He even mouthed Luc’s flaw – his temper – out loud. So, I believe there really is something like a connection of some sorts. They are close. When Luc found those two, I guess he was in his early or mid-twenties, closer to the age of Tera and Kain now. The cool older brother. No fear. Well respected/feared himself. Daring. No one would come to intimidate or beat them up again. For a free spirit like Tera, it must have suited him well… for a while. The timeline for the Boy losing his parents that one night, and Tera and Kain dropping out of school and Kain no more stopping by at home… Maybe it was their initiation rite for becoming full members of Black Death. Maybe something went “terribly wrong” – usually it seems they just burn down shops to get the insurance or the like and acquaintances at fault – like the bank clerk – not at home, but outside. But it was the Boy’s home and the whole building on fire – it also wasn’t a collateral damage, since the cross appeared on the door of the Boy’s home… and someone did enter the Boy’s room and covered his eyes. And someone got him out there during the inferno. I doubt it were the firefighters. When Tera appeared with those bloody hands on Kain’s doorstep, he was already wearing the necklace. And even though Luc seems to be the religious type – I doubt Tera got the pendant from him. More like a token from his mother, maybe. He did tell the Boy that they can’t see their families anymore… I still wonder if it is all about his father, or simply someone living with his mom and him back then, violent and abusive. I also wonder if Tera really killed him or “just” crippled him… Kain said, the police wanted to drag them back home… so Tera wasn’t exactly a suspect for murder back then… I assume. But then again, Kain says Tera had a messy past. So, apparently a lot had happened. Somehow, I am glad that he had Kain. Right now, Tera’s interaction with Kain feels… a little hostile. He’s in no mind to talk with Kain about how he feels about what they’re doing with Black Death – especially not after Kain’s little speech on that rooftop while watching Tony’s business go down in flames. What’s there left to say. And Tera keeping sternly to himself what he’s doing these days… I think that is likely to protect the Boy. There is reason enough, and probably more to it, if it’s true that Kain and him have been on the scene that night when the Boy lost his parents and brother. If each action and reaction is a thread connecting Teras past and present… he might get caught in some of these one day, not able to break free or move forward. You can hardly cut ties with memories or the impact deeds done have. He was drifting from Black Death even before he met the Boy. Now, things are catching up with Tera, fast and hard. It’s strange what you’re finally capable of, if you don’t have to look yourself in the eyes in the mirror anymore. If there’s a blank, white mask staring back at you and this persona is taking the brunt of actions. It speaks volumes that Kain felt it necessary to lift his mask for part of the conversation with Tera and even called him out on "his bullshit". He’s the kind of friend you don’t have to ask to have your back. He simply does. And that’s dangerous, since he expects the same kind of loyalty. Not a wolf astray, looking for someplace else on his own.

I legit can't stop crying. This was a big punch in the gut. Also, am I the only one who could actually smell the blood, just by looking at Tera covered in it? This is getting so deep it's making my head all jumbled up. LOVE IT.

Jelimel

Z. Have you heard "ma meilleure ennemie" by stromae and pomme? It reminds me a lot of the boy and Tera . Love the chapter, the art keeps getting better and the history feels so deep. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Myao Myao

Maybe I’m reading too into this but you’ve used religious imagery before so here it goes: Rabbit (?)’s name being “Kain” is interesting. It reminds me of the Cain from the bible who killed is brother. Joris is still alive of course, but he was still betrayed in a way when his brother left him. Joris has said before Tera is his only contact to his brother so in a way, Joris and Kain are dead to each other which is so tragic. I know this is Tera and the Boy’s story but man I want a happy ending for Joris! One last thing, the flashback to Tera killing (?) his parents is so much sadder than I thought! You did well to make him so much younger without seeing his face! He’s visibly skinnier and so obviously messed up because of what he did it’s so sad!! EVERYTHING IS SAD!!!

Aspen

I 👏 don't 👏 like 👏 him 👏 Picking up street kids making them believe you're the prophet 😞

Joanne

I love this. I cannot wait for the coming updates ❤️

Artiø Vollrath

Love love love, all I can say is love, love the artwork, the darkside of the story it getting more n more interesting about Tera. Can't wait for next chapter ❤️

Ah'Ran

I'm waiting for the comic relief, bc this is getting to dark

I like the fact that u said that Tera is afraid of the light, while the Boy is afraid of the dark. ಥ‿ಥ

Aw 🥹

Z-Pico

Lmao NOT THIS Serena 🤣

Z-Pico

I love it when readers piece things together 🥰 There are other hints, do you think you could figure them out? Just for my own enjoyment 😂

Z-Pico

Stunning as alwaysssss. I really love background time in stories, because you know it's gonna be deep. I'm sooooo hung up wow, thank you very much, you did a really good job at conveying emotions through so little Tera's face apparition !! I'm super excited for all the things that gonna happen AND really scared honestly. Pain and truth are slowly coming their way........

Yobixi

Haha, we already more or less know that Tera and the Black Death are involved in the Boy’s parents’ death. I don’t want to do your job (analyzing haha), but when I say “Tera is responsible for a lot of things,” you have to pay attention to what’s happening outside the main focus in these pages! I’m referring more to “minor” things! But the relation between the Boy and Tera that you’re describing is pretty accurate and poetic! I think we all fear what’s gonna happen when the Boy will know about it 🥺

Z-Pico

Oh man, I know this is going to be hard. Tera stepping away is going to be probably nearly impossible. I remember them mentioning how young they were when the Black Death took them in and it’s crazy to think of how young Tera was in the frame. Unfortunately, to be able to do what he does with the Black Death the trauma is going to be real. My heart can only hope the boy can heal those scars just a little bit.

Erin

Can't wait to see more about the event that started it all! I wonder if he'll tell the boy about it

BlueInkPens

Let me guess: our resident racoon here is the one responsible for the death of the parents of the boy. He fell like Lucifer, and just like him, he now fears the light, fears, what would happen if the boy figures out how ugly Tera is (at least from his pov). He fears to not only fall into hell, but being pushed back in by his light, to be damned to hell with no way out by his own design, eternal torment.

Michael Lohmeier

I'm assuming Tera killed his dad, like he had implied back when he told the boy to face his fears

Ava
