I only forgot to upload this for a few days this time!

What I've noticed as a non-British viewer, who had no prior-knowledge who Reb Day or Jay Foreman are, is that if I don't know the third person in the video I am less to enjoy the video (if that makes sense). Reb has now appeared in a few videos and I honestly love her! She's a fun add to the chaotic, male dominated group who is herself and isn't bothered by all the cum and poo jokes. But as these videos continue on with new guests/content creators who haven't appeared on Tom's second channel before, I've noticed the shift in videos' environments. What pulls me personally to watch these videos is the "unhinged humor" between *friends* who've known each other for a long time and know when the bit is too much and which things not to mention or joke about, unless it's in a dark humor way.. But with the new appearances you don't get to be as much of yourself as you'd be, say with Chloe or Sammy for example. The channel's name is TomSka and friends, and some(?) of the current viewers have been following along since the beginning of Tom's vlogging days. Trying to not sound too parasocial here but somehow I got used to these people frequently appearing on Tom's vlogs and began to undertand their dynamics. The jokes and laughter shared between them sound more genuine because they were made in that moment to make someone in the *group or room* laugh instead of trying to appear as funny to an audience behind a screen who aren't really there in that moment. Tom said it the best in that film festival video and mentioned it in the podcast, but if you don't make the content for youself but to a Youtube audience, all of the fun and authenticity disappears from it. You make videos to have fun or to share about your day and then chose to share that with us. While I understand Elliot leaving was a big blow and these videos are the way you get your pay and this is the work you chose, I don't think ending Try Hards is the answer. As Eddie stated, you forgot the TRY in Try Hards. I know nothing about this industry, I'm just a denltal health worker, but I'd hope you wouldn't do this just beacuse of the money. I *want* you guys to have fun in these videos! Authentic joy is very hard to replicate and falls flat very soon. The extended cake video is probably the only 4'ish-hour-video I enjoy watching fully. Not as a BG noise, no. I'll sit down and watch every minute of the video on Patreon (probably gonnna watch right after typing this lol). The video was true to the show's name, you guys tried very hard -- and succeeded. Again I know nothing about Youtube revenues or anything about Youtube what so ever, I'm just a consumer. I want the people I enjoy watching have fun and enjoy the things they do and not stress about ideas or concepts. Yeah some ideas are old and lame, but with the right people you can make it enjoyable and fun for both, the content creators and audience. For example the Muffin Time gameplay video at Big Potato games' was the funniest gameplay I've ever seen of any tabletop games!! The Patreon version even more so because it was longer hehe Just have fun, guys :3 Again I know nothing about Youtube and this isn't typed out to call out or criticize anyone -- or tell you how to do things. I wanted to tell you how I feel about TryHards and what keeps me supporting you guys! Stay healthy out there and remember to protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated in this summer heat!! - That one obscure Finnish viewer

I think Eddie is right, the heart of Try Hards is the contestants bouncing off each other. One of the older episodes that I go back to is the robot wars video, which was largely in person with not as much preamble. I think the art video would've been better if it hadn't had the keeping it hidden from each other element. I loved the video, but it did lack the three of you interacting. I think episodes like the Bake Off would work where you're all chucked in a room and have to preform a task either in competition or as a team, task master style, because it's in you guys in the video that we're coming to watch

Tom's setup almost matches the ace flag, which makes me very happy :)
