For now, though, here is a cheeky lil' podcast where Eddie and I break down the latest episode and then talk about swear words!

2025-05-23 09:36:45 +0000 UTCThe whole conversation with Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey triggered my hyper-focus trap card, so forgive me if I go on a bit of a rant for a second. You are right in the sense that Blood and Honey isn’t a sincere Winne The Pooh movie. But, based on all the research I’ve done, it was intended to be a sincere horror movie. Horror and particularly slashers are allowed a certain amount of camp, but even in horror comedies, the general rule is that the horror need to be taken seriously. The best example that springs to mind is Shaun of the Dead. There are plenty of jokes, a lot of which are made at the zombie’s expense but when push comes to shove the threat that they pose to and the fear they cause the characters is taken seriously. Blood and Honey attempts this with how it ties Pooh and Piglet to the main character's trauma around being stalked but it does it so poorly it just ends up coming across as exploitative and gross.

2025-05-15 07:41:07 +0000 UTCi still love tryhards but i definitely agree it's lost it's charm with the higher production value. i understand you guys have to keep with it because of the surfshark partnership but i really implore you guys to take it back to its roots in the next season- 1-2 camera setups instead of 3-4, more of you guys interacting/checking in with each other, a chill wrap up at the end- we watch the videos for you guys- not for fancy production. (see: how watcher entertainment messed themselves up by cranking the production value to 200% and their fans losing interest along the way)
