Flimpo Friday Update (5/30/2025)

For the production of Mandelbrot Hall's pilot, we broke down the full 22 minute episode into seven smaller "chunks" (technically nine if you count the guest animation and theme song). Despite only having half the anticipated time we would usually allot for a production chunk (~1 month) we completed almost all rough layouts for chunk A! In less technical terms, we're making good progress at a decent pace.
We did two retake sessions this week with Catherine and Sushi- the voice actors for Lulu and Maven respectively! Nothing super major, just picking up some alternate takes that we felt fit better in the animatic.
Once the rest of the retakes are in next week, we can finally let our composers Patricia and Zee go wild on the soundtrack! We had a call with both of them this week, going over the broad strokes of the score and sharing inspirations. We're really excited to see what both of them bring to the table!
On the merch fulfillment side of things, we've mainly been counting and re-counting our current stock to see if we have enough to fulfill the ~1800 packages we'll be shipping worldwide! Thankfully, we have enough for almost every item- we're a little short on shirts since you guys liked them way more than we anticipated! Thankfully, it's a small enough amount that it wont delay merch fulfillment in any significant way- phew!
