Flimpo Friday Update (4-25-2025)

Remember how one of the perks on the Mandelbrot Hall campaign was your own character in the pilot? One person got it- and Reid finished the design for that character today! No spoilers, but the gag we had written for this character (before we even knew who it was) fits hilariously well. Reid also wrapped on all of the prop design this week, marking a good chunk of our production bible complete!
Ren has been working hard on the animatic- making sure everything from the dialogue to screen direction flows smoothly. Thankfully, most of the dialogue works really well- we'll need to do some retakes to tweak some lines here and there, but that's par for the course!
I've been chipping away with location design. I finally finished the most ambitious location design in the episode- a full overhead shot of the campus and surrounding city- it took a whole week to draw. For reference, it usually takes one day for me to design most locations. I'm at the home stretch with location design, only about two left (and I'm halfway done with one of them).
Fun side note: We'll be at Brooklyn Indie Comics Showcase (BICS) in Brooklyn, NY this weekend! Not on official business or anything, just hanging out and supporting friends :D If you see us, feel free to say hi!
