Flimpo Friday Update (11-8-24)

Hello everyone, Milo here! Been a while...sorry about that! It's been a very hectic few weeks, but let's talk about it!

Mandelbrot Hall BackerKit

We've sent our backer survey to BackerKit for approval earlier this week, and we just got our notes yesterday! There's only a few more things to tweak, then we'll do a smoke test by sending ~5-10% of our backers their surveys to see if everything is working smoothly. If it is, then it'll go out to all backers!

Client work & LightBox prep took a lot more time and effort than expected, and we wanted to make extra sure that our shipping prices are accurate and as low as we can make them, especially for our supporters outside the US. Thank you all for your patience!

LightBox Expo 2023:

This was our first year tabling at LightBox Expo, and it was so much fun meeting so many of you in person!! It was an incredibly overwhelming weekend, but in the best way possible. We're still in disbelief that we have inspired such an incredible community of independent animation fans and artists. Thank you all <3 and we hope to table at many more cons in the future! If you know one near your area and think it would be good for us to apply- comment it below!

Some closing thoughts...

It's been a very rough week for a lot of us in the USA, and that stress has been felt strongly within our community. To anyone who has had trouble over the past few days:

Please keep creating and loving art, in your own unique way, no matter the circumstances. If not for yourself, then for others who want to see themselves in something beautiful. That's why we made this studio, that's why we make art, and that's why we aren't going anywhere.
