Flimpo Friday Update (8/2/23)

Picture this: It's 1 in the morning. All three of us have been livestreaming since 7:30 PM, as our final Mandelbrot Hall crowdfund livestream has run 5 hours overtime. The audience count hasn't gone below 100 the entire stream. The backer train timer has been reset over a hundred times since the stream started, but this time it really feels like this will be the end. After hours of chatting with the audience, drawing, and laughing our asses off, the timer draws to a close for the very last time. The countdown goes below a minute, and before we know it: it's over.

We did it everyone!!!

Not only did we get fully funded, but we smashed our first stretch goal. All three of us say our sappy, genuine thank-yous to the audience one by one, and turn the stream off for the night. Exhausted, and standing in the studio that you all made possible- we have a big group hug. Nothing feels real, and we really are going to make the cartoon we've always wanted to make- and we don't have to compromise for any network or company.
