Flimpo Friday Update (2-17-2024)

Hello everyone, another Flimpo Friday update coming right up! On a Saturday! Don't think about it too much!! So many newcomers this week, we're so happy to have you here ^^ I hope you've joined the Discord already, make yourselves known! Try our silly custom emojis even 

Aside from the usual housekeeping and stuff we're not allowed to talk about yet, this week was very much focused on the thumbnail storyboards for Mandelbrot Hall!! It's incredibly satisfying bringing a script to a more visual language, we've added some more gags and given the scary bits a lot more crunch, we can't wait to flesh it out more. We've done a good chunk of them already, and we're on schedule to finish them by the end of the month. (Also, I'm not sure if we mentioned this earlier, but we're doing our thumbnail storyboards on paper, the old fashioned way! We'll bring them to the computer eventually to tighten them down, but this is a great way to get ideas out fast and is a nice break from the screens- we all recommend it!)

Also, I will be out of the office next Friday because my short film THE EVERYTHING IS OK SHOW will be screening in Los Angeles next weekend! If you happen to be in LA on Feb 25th, come to The Grove and watch it at the DaVinci Film Festival! I will be there, and if you see me- say hi :D I'll be releasing this film on the Studio Flimpo YouTube channel once it's done with it's festival run, but that won't be for at least a couple more months, so see it while you can! I wonder who will do the Flupdate™ while I'm gone.....
