Since the Domain is not Ayula's own design, she was as clueless as anyone else about its capabilities when she became conscious about it. All her (mis)adventures had ascertained that anyone in it for all intents and purposes cannot die, as far as she's understood - but what about other features?

As it turns out, these Shells are currently "empty". A touch on their being tells Ayula that they are alive, only without instructions and is asleep. It's not a copy of herself as she hoped they would be. She'd have to manually instill behaviors into them, as fully programming a "personality" into each of them is not only something beyond her skills, but also not up for.
