Plans and Q&A
Added 2023-07-27 03:15:52 +0000 UTCHi all,
Thanks for bearing with me while I've been off my meds and absolutely drowning in homework. Things have been incredibly hectic around here. This week is the last official week of instruction and next week I have to take two exams. After that I'll have a bit of a vacation.
I have previously promised three commission slots to people. The people in question know who they are. One of the things I plan on doing this August is reach out to these people and take on these commissions, if they're still interested. I am also hoping to finish the final entry in the student exchange series soon. Another thing I have been desperately wanting to work on again is A Dog's Mother. I am actually considering finishing the story in a much less polished, sketch-like style, because the different pages take so incredibly long to draw normally and I am so tired of pushing it back. Tell me what you think of this.
That was the update part of the post, now let's move on to the Q & A part. Ask anything, but please don't ask any personal questions and keep things SFW!
Some lore clarification:
- There has been some confusion about the caste system and dragon rankings. The way it works is kind of like a leader board. The more dragons you can beat in a fight, the higher your position on the leader board is. If your position on the leader board is high enough, you move up a caste. Rankings within castes have more to do with seniority than skill. For example, Garble being an alpha of the fourth rank doesn't mean he's the fourth strongest alpha. His parents are both extremely skilled and powerful warriors who are leading a region, earning them alpha status. As their son, Garble has inherited alpha status and must justify his position by proving his worth to his same-age peers. He has to obey his parents and grandparents, who hold the first and second ranks, but he can boss pretty much everyone else in the family around. Smolder is also an alpha of the fourth rank, but the unwritten rule is that the younger siblings defer to their older siblings.

It would at least enable me to finish it so I'm really thinking about it
