Well, I'm glad the math checks out and our timelines mostly matched! Yup, Red was trampled sometime in the spring before the wolves' retelling. In Oren and the One-Eyed Wolf (which was actually the first time people saw Red) he's posted up at the same spot as when we meet him in the main story. It alludes to the fact that all he can do now is keep watch.

Everything is in the correct order on mine (which is reassuring I guess), with the sole exception of the Wolves retelling of OEW. I knew that they happened at different times since it was raining in Oren's retelling, but not the wolves. But I wouldn't have guessed it happened before volume 1 even. So I assume Red getting trampled happened a few months before the wolves retelling? (the prior spring, since all the grass is green?)
