I can appreciate it when hemlock is caring. I wonder how the hollow will react to the bad news too ^^

2022-06-22 17:28:25 +0000 UTCAgreed, but I think Hemlock as more of an antagonist rather than a villain. It’s not really evil to dislike the things that kill you. Predators mercilessly kill prey for survival and Prey fear and hate predators for survival. I understand them leaving the hollow after Rask’s proposal to invite more predators in before he even understands what to eat over the winter.

That explains how so many follow her over Oren who build the Hollow to begin with. (And another congratulation for your writing skills. Too many authors just make villainous villains and show people following them just "because".)

2022-06-20 21:32:42 +0000 UTCAlso, I think it's quite fitting that we see this side of her WITHOUT her bobcat skin, almost like it was symbolic of her using her aggression and hunter skills to mask the REAL Hemlock underneath, the one who can be gentle and really cares about those behind her, so to say.

2022-06-20 21:15:05 +0000 UTCIt's nice to see Hemlock's more nurturing and "motherly" side (I mean, she was a mother at one point, so it's not THAT much of a surprise). I mean, not having Rask around and her only concern at the moment being keeping her friends safe, it's a nice change of tune.
