I'd argue there's a difference between someone trusting and accepting him, and having a point of view skewed towards the impossibility of something happening. All things considered though, Rask could do with some reminding that he doesn't have a lot of people on his "side", regardless of whether or not Hems is around X3

I think Rask is trying a little too hard to emphasize that he could kill and eat the others. He should just accept that there are those who trust and accept him.. And those who do not.

Yes, thanks a lot! :3 (And sorry for wrong honorofic but thx for info - i really thought you're a male, i thought you stated it somewhere among patreon posts, but i must had been imagining things and my memory is... various :P I can tell you how to do almost every quest and find almost any needed item in game i haven't played for ~4-5 years, but sometimes i don't remember what i was doing yesterday or even same day but earlier xD )

No life, no death. Just now.

Happy to answer! (And, fyi it’s Ms. Teagan, but s’all good! Never hated being called mister, hah.) The ‘season’ they refer to is the change of seasons, spring to summer to fall to winter, though there isn’t a rigid demarcation (ie, spring is exactly 55 days long, etc.) In my mind, most animals don’t have a reason to be terribly precise with time beyond 'this is the season I gather food for winter.' Though I imagine some pay more attention to lunar cycles and others have their own metrics (like the rut, or migration,) that happen on more predictable dates. The sun rises when it rises, sets when it sets. 2 - With life span, I split the difference. They live longer than their animal counterparts (realistically to be physically larger/social they need to have longer gestation times and adolescent growth period.) I don’t think a smallish mammal is living to be in their 60s or 70s though— a “good long life” for a marten is probably ~25 years, a wolf about 35-40. This is with a higher mortality rate of rough living, though. If they had regular feedings and a cushy, safe life, they’d live longer. How long, I dunno! I just met a horse that was 36 years old the other day so with good care, skies the limit. 3 - I think different animal groups even within the same species care for the elders differently, depending on available resources. Just because this grassland wolf pack takes care of Gristle (and Red, who is maimed and can’t contribute to hunting) doesn’t mean another pack would. I eventually will touch on some cervidae characters in the story, and their social structure will be a lot different than rabbits, mice, etc. The Hollow is supposed to be unique in that its the first time in this area disparate species (though still all rodent/rodent adjacent,) have come together for mutual benefit. One elk or bison would be a significant culture shock. Hope that answers somethings!

Looks like Lichen broke Rask’s brain in the last panel.

Man, i've been having few questions in my head for some time :P Also got some funny idea, but that's thing for different place ^^ I've been wondering: 1. I suspect that their "season" is same as our seasons of the year (or simply -in english- "seasons" ^^ ). For obvious reasons they don't have time units like hour or second, but they have day, month... And season seems one of them. Do animals in this world sees one season similarly as we see our one year? Or do they "count" "full cycle" as 4 seasons, when same season goes through all others back to itself again? 2. What's their lifespan? More animal-like or more human-like? Or do they go hybrid - shorter than ours, but more-or-less unified to each other? Also, since usually lifespan differs between animals in wild and animals in zoos, due to them having more proper care in zoo, how's Teagan's world's inhabitants' lifespan looks like in "max" value (like, max max possible for them) and "expectancy" value (typical lifespan till they die from other animals or out of hunger or something)? Idk about their newborn mortality rate, hence i'm using "expectancy" instead of "average". Also, wolves seems to care for their elder ones, but idk about other animal structures in our world (i'm not an expert ;3 ) - which ones are exiling their elder members and if they are doing the same thing here, in comic, affecting average/expectancy (both?) value further. If you're reading this, Mr. Teagan, and are not planning to reveal or hint that later and answering won't spoil any surprise, then i'd like to know since i'm very curious about these things :3

I love how absolutely chill Lichen is omg

Those little animals are evolving fast. Now they're starting to elaborate zen philosophy.
