2021-03-27 16:05:58 +0000 UTCYA no your right not really what im getting at, but hiding behind "she has her reasons" isnt even a remotely good excuse...what she does is inexcusable and isnt even targeted at the right group (*coughs in Gluttons*). This is why I can forgive the Hollow for this incident above, but I cant forgive Hemlock. Nothing excuses her for doing what she does, striking down a held down defeated opponent is NOT ok. Far as im concerned that was a matter between Rask and Yarrow that she should not have interfered with (but again her REVENGE was more important which is a VERY Evil trait). This will likely be part of the redemption arc im sure is coming but again just like Endeaver in MHA you cant erase what you've done but you CAN try to make amends. Sometimes pushing forward to amend knowing you very well may not be able to gain forgiveness is its own redemption. Side note I can empathize with you somehow liking Hemlock only because I myself like Endeaver from MHA...I like him because I hate what he's done and that hes trying to amend what is nearly impossible to forgive...

2021-03-25 13:01:14 +0000 UTCNormally i'd agree with this statement but lemme breakdown my thought process: Doesn't change the fact Rask is their only good fighter now (and its not JUST "tooth and claw" , its Tooth, Claw, and Dagger which is insanely strong)...it gives you not only a grapple advantage but a 3rd method of attack and a dangerous one at that... And you assume a bit here albeit ya tactics ARE the way to go Yarrow easily dispatched one of them in mere seconds they would have won but probably lost a good number in the process. He was FAIRLY formidable had he not been toying with hemlock she would be quite dead right now and easily (and she was their ONLY REAL fighter as they said before....and she was nothing to him) I mainly say this because I doubt the competence of these other members...they really don't even seem that well trained and several of them break down in panic (even Hemlock did at first)... so im skeptical they coulda gotten away with what your saying without losing several people in the process. In a situation where you have atleast DECENT spearmen sure ya your right. And the only decent one atm would be Oren and thats really the only way I coulda seen it go well and even THEN Oren's injuries concern me greatly. TLDR: There is NOTHING I mean NOTHING wrong with having a "Champion" ...especially when one is built for battle... thats 1 guy needing heals instead of 5-6. "Depending" on him isn't the right word its merely admitting you need him as a method to reduce the overall damage taken by your group... BOTH should be options. But this place needs a hero with TEETH who can fight... it will also strengthen the idea of Predator/Prey cooperation if Rask essentially acted as their Champion/Hero which i'm sure he will. They need more than just OREN to believe in...and thats all they have now. Its basically saying you have an Elite whos a badass...and then the infatry who are good in a group but have less resources poured at them which happens IRL all the time and is VERY effective. Heros/Champions lead the charge they aren't depended to WIN the whole battle they evoke courage and morale and are very much needed.

Same for the hollow in general, if everyone immediately loves Rask and anyone that isn't is a bad guy(tm) then it'd be a pretty bad story.

2021-03-23 21:14:18 +0000 UTCFighting with tooth and claw is a quick way to pick up fairly serious injuries. Hemlock's big goof was not waiting for reinforcements, had it been her and her buddies Yarrow would've gone down pretty damn fast. It's how they should be fighting, not one-on-one on a predator's terms but by overwhelming an opponent with aggression, numbers and spears. If they get it done right a predator Yarrow's size won't have an opportunity to get close to them, even if they get past one spearpoint the others'll get 'em. TL:DR: Good formation tactics and teamwork is the way to go, not depending on one individual to do all the work.

Words are cheap actions stronger...good thing Rask started off by defeating an enemy that was way over their abilities... but lets take his teeth though despite how that would cripple our last remaining effective fighter...

2021-03-23 13:46:21 +0000 UTCYep, its like oh golly everyone Marten saves us from the OP angry Marten...lets SMASH HIS TEETH GUYS... because his teeth combined with that dagger totally wasnt how he beat him in the slightest... lets cripple our only good fighter lol... also to keep in mind Rask did all that while trying to PASSIFY Yarrow...he wasn't even going for the kill...hes WAAAAY above anybody in this place including lol Hemlock who lasted a whole 3 seconds.

2021-03-23 13:40:17 +0000 UTCSure looks it (to be fair this is just on Squirrels statement but by the looks in the crowd of the other like 2 your prob 100% spot on) my guy XD, Sprig very clearly accepted how Nature is but also accepted the fact Rask wanted to try and change things... there was no blatent thirst for revenge with Sprig... which is why it was a character you were made to love...then get killed off for emotion reaction > > ... so fear for anything that resembles this imo.

Not about fear, no duh prey should fear predators they are 10x more dangerous than they are. But sparking fear into blatant evil acts is not ok. Acts out of necessity isnt evil, acts out of hatred and revenge are. Hemlock is absolutely on par with the Gluttons albeit im suuuure she will have a redemption arc = _ = ... I mean if Endeaver in MHA could get one im sure she can. All I gotta say is i'd trade Hemlock for Sprig in a heartbeat but then we wouldn't have gotten an emotional response and something that urges Rask to push forward and undertake all this (because nobody likes Hemlock for a REASON lol). Shes the typical trash boat character who gets redeemed later, she REALLY showed this by abandoning the Stone Hollow because she didn't get her blood ridden way, shes worthless in my book currently, good riddance.

As Oren stated previously such actions will only breed resentment and it will just keep on going in a cycle. With how admirable Oren is I am on the side terrified he will be killed off = / lol... last note forget Hemlock you guys got a massive upgrade with Rask he was the only one who actually managed to take down Yarrow anyway, Hemlock lasted a whole like 3 second AND Rask's heart isn't blackened by misplaced hatreds... if Hemlocks gonna be a psycho towards something it should be directed at the Gluttons not everything that moves with teeth...

How the speech bubbles for "prey" species are white now instead of green, and Rask's teeth are shown now. Like an assimilation into the Hollow, and Rask embracing himself and the new world he's become a part of. Gorgeous page... I love how you render the rocks!
