he was a bit crazy too (Killing Craic? thats fine it was for food/survival...but Sprig? ...that was legit madness...because he COULD)...but toward the end there I think Rask was getting to him... he would have been a GOOD fighter and addition... once again Hemlock ruins everything...

Ceriu

Also keep in mind that if there are more predators willing to change like Rask, they would never be given that chance if they were just killed instantly. The stone hollow would never make more allies in predators willing to be better.

Yea, but what if the predator comes to the stone hollow looking to change? Murder them then? What about predators who don't attack at all and are willing to be peaceful? Edit: also, why not at least try to reason with a predator like Rask (unless they already attacked I guess) Why immediately resort to murder if they are not showing any signs of aggression? If there as a chance they will change their ways, than that will mean one more person helping the stone hollow.

I mean to be entirely fair she often doesn't have the luxury of waiting to see if the predator won't eat her. Better to strike first.

BritishRabbit

I see where your comin' from but I can kinda understand that one. Yarrow did kill Sprig and another one (forgot his name, oof). It seemed to be like so many situations in movies/tv-shows, where the main hero (might) still kill the villain even if he/she doesn't pose a threat anymore, simply out of a need to remove an evil. Or something like that. :P

Shame she didn't give his dad a chance even when it looked like he was willing to listen to Rask.

Brooklyn Forge

The tension is so real here!

SinisterVibe

"... is getting awesome"? Always has been. *put an astronauts meme* ;3

Nightwolf Starlight

I legit did not notice the trembling before this comment, holy shit this comic is getting awesome. Rasklock FOREVERRRRRR

Chris Jones

Thank you, yes. Google weren't helping with that, and knowing what that means helped me understand Maximus' post. At first i thought that he's replying to me (at least first two sentences), and that this phrase and overrall sentence's sense means that my talking is way too overcomplicated and that im complicating an obvious things ^^

Nightwolf Starlight

Allowing yourself to hope, to lower your guard, can be a truly frightening prospect. No surprise she's trying to find something to answer back. Also I'm not surprised Oren hasn't arrived yet. The bunny sent to get him has to travel the distance once to reach him, then again to bring him back, and Rask was shown to have traveled quite a distance to track his own father. It isn't that surprising that he hasn't arrived yet.

Reseen Dalls

Did Rask just put a crack in Hemlock's armor?

Amaruk

Either she's going to drop her spear, or at least lower the point, and allow hope to bloom. Or she's going to thrust and complete the tragedy.

BritishRabbit

An armor piercing statement is a statement said by one character that either forces another to confront something about themselves, often something they hide, or as the case is here, forcing them to consider a possibility they previously might not wanted to. Hope this is what you were asking.

Bruno Schafer

Where's Oren? lol

Amber

What "armor piercing statement" means?

Nightwolf Starlight

Wow. I'm thoroughly impressed with Rask's composure. Well done, body. Well done indeed.

Lauri

If she's a one dimensioned character, then she's going to think that Rask is saying it just to bring more predators to the hollow to kill them.... If she's not, and I think she's isn't, then she's going to question some of her doings, in some way....

Berto

Man, that's an armor piercing statement... Hemlock is LITERALLY looking at proof that Rask's ways might work... Hemlock has a very realistic reaction too, fantastic work.

Maximus Coyotox

*le gasp* She's trembling! After what he just said i though that Hemlock will be like "Bringing hunters to the Stone Hollow?! YOU WANT THEM TO KILL US ALL?!? Is this what you planned from start?!", but seeing her trembling and trying to find words like that gives me hope that her thought process really catches something that her eyes just saw, that her ears just heard. And that outcome changes her view of things. Well, RaskxHemlock ship that some people had hope to come still isn't probable, but looks like she may start to trust him for real. Not right now, but with small steps... After such a huge jump that just gave a quake to her personal view of the world and it's inhabitants... Still the inner battle of thoughts inside her is clearly visible. As well as that she tries to not lower her guard, metaphorically speaking - to keep herself a bit of sceptical and careful ;3 Can't tell anymore anything till i see how her face changes in future panels. Of course i'm not an expert, not even an amateur, so i can be all wrong :P

Nightwolf Starlight

Well, he IS old.

Maximus Coyotox

Well ... finally. here we are ... ^^ You're caught off guard Hemlock… I'm on Rash's side. (well sorted scrupulously.)

Balou3155

Oren is sooo slow, I think he would have got there 3 times already, but oh well
