Technically...but she never stood a chance without this distraction...and it looked like Rask was getting through to him so his guard was down... ugh dunno who I hate more the one who killed my fav character Sprig...or Hemlock...

Ceriu

yaaa Craic was hunting/survival, forgivable. But Sprig was legit just a kill and he seemed to have just done it for fun... dudes a psychopath. Keep in mind Hemlock...is also...a psychopath so mixed feelings here...Yarrow may have been salvageable... and hes a REALLY good fighter...

Ceriu

Bloodshed doesn't justify bloodshed. Nothing ever gets better if we keep avenging each other. Btw, Love Rask's moral compass showing lately.

Cesar de la Cal Bretschneider

Hemlock may have done him a fairly big favour too. Trying to save Yarrow may cost Rask what little chances he has with the hollow given Yarrow has killed two of the denizens so far. As opposed to if he proves himself by helping take down a dangerous predator. I'm wondering if Hemlock is aware of how badly it'd look and is trying to prevent that so Rask's position isn't even more tenuous. (As well as getting revenge at the same time.)

BritishRabbit

I mean to be fair, he did just kill Sprig so, it's fair.

BC

'Killed by a Rabbit... can you imagine?'

BritishRabbit

Under control for how long?

BritishRabbit

If nothing else it's an indication she's moving past seeing him as a threat too.

BritishRabbit

I agree--it looked like he was getting through to him.

Gato909

Not quite sure it's murder... He killed the squirrel for no good reason with glee and no remorse. I mean she just checked on his warm corpse a second ago in the background too. I'd say she's justified.

Torakhan

Well, unless something happens in the following pages, Hemlock's off my list.

Gato909

Daaaaamn Cold blooded murder right there dude :/ I wonder if Hemlock will ever realize how bad her bloodlust is becoming, she’s going down a dark path...

Cam

That's is exactly what I would say to her and view her, she is a hypocrite

Brooklyn Forge

Nothing is impossible and he was listening to rask, that was anothet potential ally that at that moment was unarmed and held under control by rask. That rabbit probably knew what he was saying too. She did it out of revenge and blood lust.

Brooklyn Forge

The only logical outcome alas, that kind of jerkass is beyond saving. I'm sure even Oren himself would have done the same. Now I wonder if Hemlock understood what Rask said to his father, and so knew what she was going to take from him or if she'll need explained to her. And will she now turn her weapon against Rask or blame him for letting Sprig die, or will she acknowledge what he did for her and at least stop harassing him? (Poor Rask anyway, he's so unlucky. I wonder if he'll start screaming at Hemlock or just collapse in tears.)

Reseen Dalls

On a side note, where did the September art requests go? Back to the usual stream the last of the month?

Berto

In this particular moment, you can't really blame hemlock, it would have been impossible to "rehabilitate' him still.... And he killed Sprig and Craic, how could they even trust him? Thought, I hope now everything else is a bit easier for Rask, which I doubt.......

Berto

aaaaand shank!.. ouch.. this will be interesting how this developes.

Raptorzs

Alas poor Yarrow we knew thee well Next time be nice to the rabbits And bring holy hand grenades

JohnnyTikitavi

For Sprig. cheers.

Amber

Or, and maybe the more emotionally driving path, Hemlock looks to Rask, fully realizing what she's done and apologizes, the first real change in her views of Rask, "I had to... and I'm so, so sorry..." The big hint being that she coulda easily made a Marten Kebab here, but intentionally aimed at Yarrow.

Maximus Coyotox

That was for Sprig.

Furlop

The interesting thing here is that, despite the fact that Yarrow IS Rask's dad, Hemlock is even more justified in killing him; He killed Criac AND Sprig, the latter being someone that Hemlock was close to, and could've killed more if he didn't heed Rask.

Maximus Coyotox

ъуъ bad hamlock

sansanik

And thus the inevitable outcome. There wasn't really any other way it could have gone; since Yarrow killed both Craic and Sprig, there's no way they would have simply let him live with them peacefully even if he surrendered. And he would have posed too great a danger if Rask simply let him go. And, of course, Hemlock is far too blood-thirsty to even allow any notion of anything other than to kill him, although she has good reason to given the fact that just mere moments ago she almost became a meal herself. Still, that doesn't stop me imaging Rask putting that spearhead to further use. But that's just my own personal opinion and certainly doesn't speak for the actual story, which is phenomenal. What's a good story without an antagonist, right? But now with his only living relative now dead by her paws, at least Rask has ammo to throw at Hemlock about how the world isn't black and white and that she's essentially become the thing she hates. Ya know, given her backstory and all.

Tygre13

... Mmm that was to be expected unfortunately. Nice speech but ... futile. Hatred STILL (unfortunately) prevails over Rash's kindness or naivety, who sees everything collapsing, little by little around him. Things are going badly ... but for whom?

Balou3155

oh no
