Heads Up for August

Hey, everyone! I sincerely hope you’re all doing well and staying safe!

I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about August/Sept. I’m going to be taking two weeks off from posting comic pages in August, either the middle two weeks or last two of the month. (There will be a page next Monday/Tuesday, however.)

Short answer- I’m exhausted and need a break from the city, including my tablet/computer. I’m all caught up posting finished pages of the comic, which means I’m usually working on the next one the week before it’s posted. It’s not ideal and can be stressful when I’m really struggling with a page, on top of which I’m juggling a few other things. When I scheduled the time to finish Oren’s Forge last year, I didn’t account for how hard it’d be to work or keep momentum in 2020.

Anyway, I just need a break and mental reset. After our covid tests, we’re going go somewhere safe and secluded, maybe catch some fish on the way, see a sunset again (and sleep a few nights without fireworks or loud neighbors-- oh what luxury.) 

I’ll still be doing requested art for August, but if you’re here exclusively to see new pages, August will be slower!

I may also take a week off in September. (Birthday month and all I want is some guilt-free days to play dumb video games.)

Patreon is my primary income at the moment and I am sincere when I say that without your support, Oren’s Forge wouldn’t be happening. That said, life and living expenses are getting more complicated for a lot of people, so please take care of yourself first and foremost.

In other news: Tomorrow I’ll be posting July’s Patreon request artwork here to Patreon (and to Twitter a day or so after, if you miss it.) Plus, looks like Sprig won the vote for a telegram sticker pack, and I’ll be posting that in the next week!
