As a thought... what if she realizes this is his father? That might mess her up a bit inside, given what shes been through and how protective she is of her new family.

You captured my exact thoughts.
People come down on Hemlock for her prejudice, but I look at her actions as someone who had all control taken away and did everything they could do to ensure that would never happen again. But Hemlock is not the weather, Hemlock is another emotional creature and I can't tell if that look is "Wow Rask really is on our side" or "Wow predators are really too dangerous to trust" but I like that Hemlock is given the chance to be a person and not just some mechanism to drive the story along.

Indeed. It's like a revelation as come up to her. Something that deeply surprised her...

Nevertheless, regardless of emotion that stroke her and regardless of what's in her mind now, her face is just priceless xD
We've seen (except earlier "her" in her backstory) angry Hemlock, determined Hemlock, hate-gazing Hemlock, angry Hemlock, battle Hemlock, angry Hemlock... Did i mentioned angry Hemlock?
But seeing her deeply surprised/shocked/caught in a moment of realization this way... Just hilarious. Priceless and hilarious :3
I don't know what she thinks right now, when she sees these two starting to fight. Depends of how long she's been here and what she heard.
Idk if it's sudden moment of realization of Rask's sincere intentions or a sudden moment of realization how predator vs predator fight looks like (i mean, pred/preds she battled before she probably took down on surprise attack. Maybe she realizes how low her chances might be if she would try to battle them/someone openly. Her face looks like that's one of possible scenarios. Still hilarious to see her like that :3 ).

I meant if she understood the whole situation through what she sees. I highly doubt she has been around predators enough time to understand their language.

Rusk is not so strong and not so experienced as to defeat Yarrow so I think he will lose the battle but Hemlock will end it all

I will admit it'll mess me up a bit if Hemlock can actually understand what's being said.

Her shock may be due to her devotion to the concept of family. It's the only thing she still treasure beyond her hatred for predators. Seeing Rask ready to take on his own father over Sprig's death may be the only way to make her realize how sincere Rask is.

He's made his choice, hopefully the right one.

Will probably depend on if she realizes why they are fighting or not. If she realizes what happened, then it could possibly change her mind about Rask. However, it is also possible that she will think they are fighting over Sprig's body (As in: who gets to keep it). Personally, I'm hoping for the former (Hemlock realizes what happened, and thus begins to change her mind about Rask), but I'm not sure if that is what will happen.

Wonder if this is going to make Hemlock change her mind about Rask or if it will just reinforce her idea that all predators are savages 🤔
