News About Next Week

Hey, everyone!

To avoid stress and anxiety with posting on a schedule, I am usually about three or four weeks ahead with finished pages. It’s given me enough wiggle room to take unexpected days off when I needed them and plan around times I knew I’d be out of town.

So, that brings me to a little (bad) news.

It’s been a rough few weeks. One of my dogs was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After meeting with an oncologist we realized surgery isn’t an option, but we’ve been able to take some steps to slow the cancer down. My dog is still happy and active right now and I’d like to give her a great few months (she gets scrambled eggs every day now, so as far as she’s concerned, everything is peachy). I’m planning on taking some unplanned days off so I can take my adventure buddy camping a few more times, especially somewhere down south where she can lay around in the desert sun.

Since I’ll be losing more work days than I budgeted for, I’ll need to skip posting one week this month so I can keep comfortably ahead of my posting schedule. I may have to skip a week mid-November as well, depending on how much I can get done.

As far as the story flow, this is a good spot to take a short break. New pages will resume on the 21st, though I have some stuff I’ll post in the interim that no one’s seen, like the cover for the second French book.

Thank you to everyone who’s been involved in the Patreon so far. You guys have honestly made the difference in me being able to continue to work on Oren’s Forge. I’m sorry about having to miss a week or two, but I hope you can understand.

That's rough news about your buddy, not much that I can say will help but I hope you two get to enjoy what time is left. Don't worry about missing some weeks, we'll be here when you get back. Take care of yourself, your loved ones, thank your for keeping us all up to date.
