Furulka Dossier:

Habitat: Cold rivers, and coastlines.

Danger rating: None

Size relative to human: Human size, but small

Furulka are a semi-aquatic subspecies, living along rivers and coastlines in colder climates they swim with webbed digits and their powerful paddle like tail. They are characterized by their back swept slender ears and blue coloration in a mask like band on their upper face. Each monster has a unique, faintly luminescent pattern on the underside of their tail.

Furulka live in family pairs, or on their own until they find a suitable partner. They eat only fish, and pose no threat to humans. Furulka are timid and extremely skittish, they flee areas with high human populations and strive to avoid contact when possible.

Suiting their gentle demeanor furulka can passively channel healing magics, usually through licks and nuzzles. Should they come across wounded people, or other monsters they usually act to give aid - provided they are not given attention or otherwise scared off. Many sailors have survived shipwrecks or other maladies thanks to these gentle creatures.
