Book 1 Afterword and Future Plans
Added 2024-11-27 17:48:49 +0000 UTCDone with the first book, hurraah! That was a long ass book, and honestly I’m quite proud of how it all turned out. Now its time for me to take a step back, and give myself 3-4 days to cool off. We will start the second book next week on Monday.
Now that we established the general setting for the series, we will focus more on the cooking side. There will be a restaurant in which we’ll see all sorts of different people. The kids will finally start their cultivation journeys. There will be sects. Clans. A touch of drama.
On the other hand, another news I want to talk about is the new series. After much thought, I’ve decided writing two xianxia series will likely burn me out, and burn me out good. Instead, I’ve decided go with a different premise and setting. 15 chapters of this project is already done. It’ll be about an Archmage who finds himself in a LitRPG world. Below, I’m leaving you a blurb. I’ll be asking for your feedback along the way and will publish the first few chapters today.
Do tell me what do you think about Dao of Cooking’s first book. Thanks for your support!
Cheers!
BLURB - ARCANIST IN ANOTHER WORLD
Discovered by Headmaster Eldras in the streets, Valens Kosthal had lived a life of magical study and became the youngest Resonant Healer and Archmagus in the wide circle of the world. He had spent his years studying magic, going as far as to dabble in the forbidden Warmagic.
When his experiments are discovered by the Inquisition, he is branded a traitor and sentenced to die.
But in his final hours, his mentor, Headmaster Eldras, slips him a strange black sphere, sparking an escape to a world ruled by a powerful System, one that allows him to control mana without relying on tools.
He doesn't know how he arrived here, or why there's mana flowing inside his veins, and especially what this grand System is that governs the whole world, granting people all sorts of skills.
Still, he soon discovers that all of his magical theory knowledge and the skills he gained after years of study puts him way above the others in this world. As an Arcanist, a master of all elements, he realizes he holds powers that make him unstoppable.
But nothing as simple as it seems, and to go back, he has to solve the secret behind this world.
Comments
Myself, like others, have been looking for a good author that has a nice balance in their story telling. From details of the world, characters, world, etc. you honestly have a very nice flow and the balance is unique to you but it's very enjoyable for the readers. Don't overdo it or overthink it. Keep at it!
